So, what to do about Costa? He actually had a good game and played a big part in the first goal. I think having Costa on the left and keeping Raph on the right worked better than the other way around. The question is has Costa done enough to keep his place against Liverpool or does Harrison go back in?

One swallow doesn't make a summer. He has to combine good games with consistency to command a first team place. For me Harrison comes back even though he has, at times, gone to sleep. Maybe I am argueing for a Raphina clone on the Left.

100% guaranteed that El Magico will recall Harrison. But Costa could well become a ( very) good option for Leeds.
Costa played well against Citeh was up for it, looked stronger physically and mentally too. Needs to keep doing it.

Harrison nailed on to return, Costa will stay next season as a squad player.

Costa appears better against better teams.
By that I mean when we have less possession and our best outlet is a fast breakaway he has the speed to make good use of space.
He may start against Liverpool for that reason but I'd play Harrison.

Now we are safe I wonder if a few senior fringe players like him and a few youngsters might get minutes between now and the end of the season to see who stays, who moves on and who gets loaned out to get some first team next year.
One good game certainly doesn't get him permanently back in the starting 11 but it might be enough to get a couple of starts to prove he deserves to stay.
{Ed0666's Note - if it were me I’d play my strongest side from now till the end of the season as the higher you are in the league the more prize money there is.

Our hand may be forced anyway on this one. Raph looking like he will miss out due to his thigh injury so it may be Harrison and Costa.

Yes another decision to make from the powers that be SatanEd. The finance director may well push for the highest finish possible but if he takes a long term financial view the emergence of a home grown talent could save him and his boss a few bob in transfers. eg Newbie vs Davis?
{Ed0666's Note - it’s all about money mate. So finishing highest possible is the name of the game. In an ideal world you’d play all the promising kids in the prem after guaranteeing top flight status but not gonna happen. Maybe the last game of the season?

Honestly with a little gap above and a bigger gap below we won't move much either way. Difference between 11th and 9th is only around £7m, if we can blood an u23 or two to step up as backup next season we could easily save more than that in avoiding the need for new signings.
