For me next season a left back is a must as it looks likely Alioski will be going .
Defensive midfield to challenge Phillips is a must and a central attacking midfield .
If would like to see us make Harrison a permanent move .
If we can start the season with a fully fit Lorente and koch with Cooper and Strujk then I don't think we will be signing a centre back . As far as forwards go we need Rodrigo to really step up and if Geldhart and geeenwood can challenge first team.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the right world class left winger is available i wonder if Harrison could become a wing back?
Certainly has the engine for that and is IMO better defensively already than Alioski.

Mmm. Interesting Canada.

I agree, Harrison as a left wing back is an interesting idea but, after seeing how long it has taken Alioski to get as far as he has with his conversion, I would prefer if we looked for a bona fide left back for the start of the new season. With the fact that both Alioski and Douglas are going I don't think its beyond the budget to get a first team starting left back, with the option to try Harrison there at a comfortable pace. Bear in mind Davis is an absolute flyer in the U23 games and I would love him to get some exposure in the left back area too.

With Beradi also going at the end of the season, I think we already covered for him by buying Koch AND Llorente at the beginning of this season when White went beyond our price range, I think his salary becomes a free-hit for a further midfield replacement. Given that Drameh, Casey and Cresswell have made significant improvements during the season.

Add in the possibility that Henandez may be on his way to the club he owns, that creates a space for a creative midfielder with some freed up wages to be able to pay.

Hopefully one brilliant midfielder, who plays and contributes week in and week out will be an improvement on two aging (but always grateful to) squad players.

Wise words axe - I agree.

Certainly in order of priority :-
1 Left Back
2 Centre Attack Midfield
3 Left Wing
Then a gap to
4 Def Midfield
With this, there are a few caveats,
All of these must be miles better than the U23s we have.
LB must be a brute of a defender that gets forward at the drop of a hat.
CAM must have a Rolls Royce engine with 10 goals a year potential.
LW must be a def improvement on Harrison
DM must slot in with KP when needed.
I NEED 1 and 2
I would like 3
I am not too fussed at 4 (think we have the body on the payroll already)

Leeds United definitely need more goalscoring options up front and from midfield

1) Another goalscoring striker is an absolute MUST . if Bambam had been injured we would have been forked.

(Rodrigo and Tyler are not prolific finisher/ goalscorer)

2) A goalscoring CAM ( Pablo type ) is a must goals and assists. Neither Tyler nor Rodrigo are good enough at CAM

3 ) A goalscoring CM is also a must.

4) Then ideally a recognised left back, but for me the other 3 positions are even more important

5) And also an experienced competent gk number 2 ( pay off Kiko)

Our differences Baz, are exactly why it is important the big man tries some U23s asap. I do know what you are saying about the lack of back up to BamBam but we may have the answer already with Gelhart/ Greenwood, why even Roberts has looked a bit better in recent games. Not quite a gamechanger but not the waste of space he has been in past games.
As for LB I know, as usual, Dallas will not let us down but it would be a mistake to play a right footer at Left Back, if we can avoid it. Back to my first point; we need to have a dood look at Davis/ Huggins in a few meaningfull games. U23s are an indicator but nothing more. Can they hack it in the Prem that is the question. Only one way to find out.

Keep Jacky where he is. He's a fine player.

I am a big fan too George, just thinking how deadly we could be though if we had Harrison overlapping a player as good as Raph cutting in from the left like we see when Raph cuts in from the right.
More than happy if we recruit a great attacking left back (who can actually defend! ) to support Harrison.
