Everyday I go online and see everybody and their brother wants Haaland.
But.
Is he that good.
I mean there are only 4-5 decent German teams so to score in that league ain't hard.
I know he scored a couple in Europe and for country but. Think whoever buys him will have to pay over $150 mill and be taking a huge gamble.

Agree1 Disagree0

His champions league scoring record is also excellent. He is as good as any striker out there.

28 Mar 2021 11:08:05
Every transfer is a gamble, some bigger than others Aus, but I get your point. 150 mill for a proven, at top level, scorer but 150mill for a newbie? Don't know if I would risk it but then I am not worth Billions.

If we all put a tenner in each Aus might make a dent

IF I was a Citeh awash with money i’d buy him as much for sentiment reasons and his Dad than ability to score goals, but one bad cruciate injury strikers are never the same again.

If he does decide to come to the Premiership which I’m sure he will at some stage, he will find it tougher. But with his young age and physique I think he will adapt and be a machine. I can only see him in a Citeh shirt.
150 Mil well spent in my opinion.

Canada. Scored against who in champ league?

It doesn't matter who Aus its whoever they've played!
He has the least number of games to get to 20 goals in the competition so a better record than anyone else.
If you could be bothered looking you'd see he has got 5 goals this season alone against teams who made it to the last 16 of the competition so its not all against poor teams if that's what you were expecting.
I think he also did quite well against the best team in Europe as well earlier this season.

I wish Alfie Haaland, once he had retired, had returned to live in Leeds thereby with young Haaland junior coming through the Leeds United youth teams.

There is no question for me that Haaland Jnr is already one of the very best strikers in Europe.

He will break a lot of goalscoring records in his career ( if he can steer clear of serious injuries)

28 Mar 2021 15:41:40
Aus He's scored more than a "couple" in Europe. Try 20. Try the youngest player to reach that mark in the history of the competition and in the fewest games. He's world class. If he comes to the PL, it will be slightly harder for him but he'll still be a goal every game striker, possibly better. Realistically, it'll be between Citeh and Barcelona who gets him. I actually think he'll go to Spain next.

28 Mar 2021 19:26:40
There has never been a goal every game striker, and the stats say that there never will be.

28 Mar 2021 19:44:41
VD, didn't a certain Mr B Clough go very close to such statistic? Let's check.

28 Mar 2021 19:57:05
VD, you've obviously never heard of the Mermaid or Human Torpedo. Might be 90 years ago (so just before Baz's time) but he plundered just over a goal a game during a long career for Celtic in the Scottish Premiership. This renders your view overbrimming with wrongness and wrongability.

28 Mar 2021 20:46:03
Mr Wrong, with a degree in being wrong, on a particularly incorrect day.

28 Mar 2021 21:19:41
Ok, fair enough I will hold my hand up, one man in the history of the game.
Hardly a comparison to the football played in today`s game, which is what you were talking about, and what my remark was based on.
Football has changed a bit since then.

{Ed001's Note - didn't Puskas average over a goal a game? And Fernando Peyroteo averaged nearly 2 per game over his career.}

28 Mar 2021 21:38:03
Good shout Ed, according to records I think Puskas played 535 games, with a return of 515 goals, or something like that.
And Fernando Peyroteo was 197 games and 332 goals.
Remarkable.
Thank you WIKI.

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't trust wiki. They don't usually have the full stats, even when they are correct. They don't normally include cup stats.}

28 Mar 2021 21:45:36
I would imagine you are close though Ed.
Just looked elsewhere and it states Fernando Peyroteo as 1.62 goals per game.

{Ed001's Note - I know Puskas scared 84 in 85 games for Hungary.}
