On the subject of the pitch the last few months-
First pitch chews up (due to bad weather fair enough) .
We shell out £300k for a second, a copy of the Spurs pitch, and it's unplayable and chews through too.
Everyone seems to be saying Spurs took us for mugs but is it just me that thinks the ground staff need to be at least looked at? Other clubs, much smaller clubs, have had the same weather to deal with and are fine, the same pitch at spurs is still good, doesn't it make sense it's someone our end that's the problem? Because in all honesty we keep talking about us bringing in players with biscuit legs but I don't think we are doing ourselves any favours with the surfaces they have been playing on.

It's the drainage underneath the pitch that is the issue. It was supposed to be redone before the season but we didn't have time due to the shortened pre season. Tbh I would have been more surprised if the pitch had taken in such a short time from being laid. For some reason we seem to get a lot of rain in Leeds which is playing havoc.

What i didn't understand was why they had the sprinklers on beforehand, surely that made it worse!

It’s grim up north and winters coming. southern pitch don’t like it.
