Another bit of toilet worthy punditry this time from Alan Shearer, claiming Bamford’s defending against Alderweireld’s header was clueless. Maybe so from a defenders point of view, but he’s not a defender.
Bamford really does get it in the neck sometimes, here’s a striker who has just come up from the Championship, works his butt off, scores ten goals so far this season, which incidentally is equal only to Kevin Phillips who was the last striker to score the same amount 20 years ago from a promoted team.
Shearer was a brilliant striker no doubt but he did no where near the physical and Km’s shift that Bamford puts into any given game.
Give it a rest Shearer you dope, try tearing apart some more established premiership striker.

And I wonder where Bamford would be in top scorers if you didn't count the help of penalties. Vardy and Salah seem to have had a lot of these goals.

He dosent convert enough but works harder than any other striker I’ve ever seen.
Shearer. Join Newcastle. You might be able to help them survive this season or prob not cause you were a selfish git who didn’t know how to defend. Tosser.

Bamford is great at defending corners and I can see shearers point in that big strikers have to do a shift in our own box.
but this is clueless. Aldwerilder was Phillips man, he beat phillips to the header. this is not me slating phillips as he was quality in the air against burnley and he had no chance against one of the best in the air so I didn't slate him at the time and not slating him now. but to blame Bamford seems a bit mental.

It’s becoming a blame culture football, we win as a team and lose as a team. Yeah individual errors can be game changing but we are all human but not one professional player goes out to make a mistake leading to a goal. So I don’t understand why we jump on mistakes.

I have said, many a time, there should be two figures in the goalscoring charts 1) total goals 2) penalties. It's not fair automatically including pens when the taker could have been just an observer of the incident.

Away days under belisa it is very much a certain persons fault. Belisa does man for man marking so when we concede it is often one persons fault so easy to point the finger
It’s the nature of football people still blame peter Reid for not bringing down Maradona in 86 World Cup so I don’t think it is a new culture.
