Brighton are no mugs. They know what Ben White is worth. Watching him play now and he's a fabulous player as we already new. Class act and I wish we'd gone the extra to get him in. Pure Bielsa/ Leeds player. At least Koch looking the business.,

'Going the extra' would not have made any difference to the outcome.
I don't think Brighton ever had any intention of selling BW (this season at least ) their manager Graham Potter said as much several times.
Would have loved BW back but not to be.

There’s always an extra in business Baz it’s just how far you are willing to go. Personally I’d have gone as far as the end of the ocean.

Sorry Cork, I think Leeds went far enough chasing Ben White. Top player, but it wasn't meant to be him joining us on a permanent basis.

White was fantastic for us but they kept putting the price up till it made no sense. £20m would have been great business, £30m a stretch but ok, doable, £40m a gamble because he isn't worth that currently and £50m (because some media touted it) would have been madness, we got 2 Spanish internationals for less. Was fantastic but I'd rather have Koch and Llorente for what we spent tbf.
