Petition to let fans back into football stadiums. If it gets 100000 signatures then it has to be debated in Parliament.

Don't let the government take the soul out of the game we love.

bit.ly/3d5izhn

{Ed033's Note - This has over 100,000 now, but why would anyone need to beg the government to go and watch a football match? Why would anyone want government micromanaging every aspect of their life?

The second enough people call the casedemic, b.s., it's all over. We deal with flu every year and it's worse in winter. Time to 'wake up'.

I think we have to learn to live with it.
Here in Aus we have done ok. Victoria took their eye off the ball and got hammered.
Nsw proved aggressive testing and tracing can work although a drain on resources.
I live in Wa. Our premier is a coward who doesn’t know what to do or how to live with it. His answer was to close our borders to the other states and the rest of the world in March or April 2020 and he is refusing to open them now until April 2021. A full year of denying us our right to travel and visit loved ones. All because he is a meglamaniac and no idea how to deal with it.
Go leeds by the way 👍.

Sorry Ed. but this many times worse than the flu in mortality rate let alone other side effects like lung damage and long term neurological issues.

. I would support carefully controlled crowd access to stadiums and know football is missing it’s heart beat and soul by not having the crowd there.

But this is a public health issue. look at the White House this last week where the issue wasn’t the right of those who attended the rose garden event but that they then infect others.

the virus is a clear case where the state should competently (I stress competently) be a nanny to those insufficiently knowledgeable on the subject who might risk themselves but also infecting others that may die.

It’s all about knowledge plan and discipline.
You can’t just let crowds in
It’s about what you want to achieve. In Europe and uk I feel you are happy to lose a few In the trenches to save the economy and go with the flow.
Here. **** the economy of human rights. Let’s not lose anybody more. Shame they don’t put as much effort into other diseases. Happy to admit defeat to them. But the virus. Oh no. Let the world see us as a success.
Despite economy and human rights.
Anybody out there got a sane balance.
Go leeds.

My son had the virus, and he’s a strapping, fit, strong 25 year old, but it crippled him for a month, and he’s still suffering the after effects. This is no flu, but I do believe it to be a chemical weapon, rather than originating from eating a feckin Bat!

07 Oct 2020 19:30:42
Absolutely Ed but what can we do if the powers that be qont let us do as we want? More protests but what will that achieve?

07 Oct 2020 20:22:18
I, m with you Bright, I don't agree with this ( it's only the flu crap ) I know a 43 year old man who was put into a induced coma from it and whilst intially only a small bit ill passed it to his mother who also was put into a coma but sadly she died from it, my pals recovery lasted 3 months he said,

This rubbish is real and it's scary.

so hard to call this one.

there are stories of fit young healthy people being made very ill or dying. but also both of my wife's grandparents got the virus in hospital as they were dying. both fully recovered and then died a couple of months laters due to 'fraitly of old age'

I have no doubt it can hurt some young people badly but also people on deaths door have got over it. I had the virus and it was no worse than a flu with a bad cough. I know many many others who have had it and been affected from no effect at all to been ill for a month.

My overall feeling is that it is bad but can we let it stop life? it it more dealdly than cancer? yet we still smoke or drinking? in the uk last month more people died of car accidents than the virus yet we still drive?

I am not belittling the virus at all in any way but at what point do we stop it creating poverty and distorying life. Many jobs have been lost, football clubs will close, shops shut, theatres and cinemas gone, is there a point where we say enough is enough, yes the virus is real and can be deadly but life has to continue?

Agree with all your points bermo pal, but the underlying fundamental issue that governments all around the world are afraid of is, hospitals being overrun as I. What happened. in Italy back in March / April.

07 Oct 2020 22:36:00
Hear hear Bermo. Sadly Chris i think you were lied to about hospitals in March / Apr. The government has made a huge mess of this whole affair and are lying and spreading propaganda to cover it up.

07 Oct 2020 23:58:08
Interesting debate, can’t see there being substantial crowds at premiership matches until well into 2021. With restrictions on small groups meeting, increasing regional and town restrictions, just can’t see it happening across a national league. As we head into the winter flu period with the health system already under pressure, even less likely to happen. It’s not just getting people into the bigger grounds but the support services around the ground, transport services etc.

I’m a season ticket holder, living in Spain who would love to be getting into Elland road this season, but if it comes to it, delighted to be watching the games live on tv.

Spot on Bermo and Alf with your posts.

Good points about hospitals over run this is unprecedented and hard to call

Anyway Phillips. he is useless and what do people think of brexit and Maggie tatcher.

08 Oct 2020 10:03:48
Berm you have your own kind of virus

: a sort of man crush KP obsession.

08 Oct 2020 11:17:46
I’ll pi got me b v and my secret is out I’m just playing hard to get and being nasty to him co I love him really. learnt all my moves from my mrs.

08 Oct 2020 13:39:49
Alf, do your really really believe that the pictures of mass graves in Italy, iran + Brazil and that the pictures of the Italian army hgv, s ferrying the huge amount of dead to burial grounds, or the pictures of italian hospital patients outside the hospital on stretchers were all hoax? That it was all a charade to fool the people?

Bermo, yes there is a car crash every day, so no you don't stop driving, but what about say 5000 crashes now every day in uk and the hospital unable to treat the sick,? That's the point, in total isolation then it's fine, but now 1000,s are getting infected +sadly a lot of them will be really really I'll.

08 Oct 2020 14:17:39
I do agree Chris to an extent and certainly not saying you are wrong just think it is a matter of perspective.

the virus will never kill more people than smoking but people still smoke. same with drinking etc

and as bad as the virus is I personally think the cure is worse than the disease. Do we end up with a generation of children not going to school, whole industries such as football, theatre and cinema going under forever? Do we plunge millions into poverty? do we keep loves ones apart?

to an extent we are stopping life due to fear of death and for me that is no way to live. although I do agree and see what you are saying also. its a very tough call.

08 Oct 2020 15:28:47
Berm the voice of reason on C.V.
