great game and odd. half proud but half frustrated
set plays high ball already cost us.
going forward amazing defending awful. Many have said how we kept clean sheets last year. yes because we kept the ball. today showed we can't defend. and if anyone thinks Cooper is the answer. he will not be
but overall saw enough to think we will give everyone a game and pick up enough points to be safe. that said defence will cost us an awful lot which is frustrating
also think Liverpool flattered as I think they will struggle (by there standards) this year and finish 4th. that said still a champs league team we took to the wire. with a dodgy pen as well.

Very frustrating that we loose really to set pieces . It seems that could cost us games this season. I’m confident at moment seeing that game we looked sort of at home in this league but we do need to sharpen up a bit . I’d be delighted if we can stay up this season and build from that .

Oh yes Berm, and Cooper, Ayling and Ehite made PFA team of year.
Somehow your super Millwall defence didnt.
Struijk played decent. did at least as good as Cooper would to your point.

BW Who won the Champioship by 10 points it wasn’t your beloved Millwall, so they can keep there golden glove keeper and strong defence, who conceded many more goals than Leeds Uniteds so called dodgy defence . With our dodgy manager and England international DM . We will poodle on in the top flight, whilst giving the Champions of England, Europe and the World a competitive game and think how things could be so much better! raggity you miss my point
we won the league by a mile and was the best team. but that don't mean we can defend. liverpool and city do well in prem but are not really good at defending (certainly Liverpool of late but maybe not in general)
I have said we can not defend and clean sheets don't mean defending when you never have to defend. like a boxer don't have to have a good chin if he never gets hit
so yes Millwall centrbacks for me are far better. that is the start and end of my point and argument. canada always wants to have a go yet when I use common sense and stats he always goes quiet.

We will have to agree to differ BW, as no way are the Mllwall defenders better . Imagine the Liverpool forward playing against them for 1minute, how do you think they would get on? Cooper tall and good in the ball, but an agile quick footed forward would destroy him . Trent arguably the best right back in the country made to look poor by Harrison! Who in my opinion produced the best piece of football he ever has in a Leeds shirt, in my opinion proving football is not an exact science and changes continuously, players learn as they gain experience, so they will have learnt so much from the other night . I reckon an interested party could purchase both Millwall centre backs for a joint fee of a couple million, living in South London I’ve never heard in the papers of any interest . That says it all .

Also if we aim to follow there success in your opinion defending is not that important, so what is the problem of not been able to defend? As in your opinion defending isn’t necessarily an ingredient of success .
