The JKA conundrum.

I feel that Vìctor Orta and Leeds will not be able to extract themselves from the foolhardy mistake of JKA transfer CONTRACT loan to buy £21 million. fee.

Trying to in a court of law. will be a lengthy process and add considerable further costs in lawyers fees on both sides and likely in all eventuality Leeds having to pay all lawyers fees and JKA salary while he is in limbo and not playing for another 6 months or so waiting for a legal resolution.

That could add say easily another £5 to £10 million in costs and salary payments plus you have an even further disenfranchised unfit player

Leeds need to suck it up and try and make tne best of a bad transfer decision

get JKA over here, get him fit and if he really can't still be useful and fit into Bielsa Ball coming on from bench and scoring goals then Leeds should try and sell him next window (s) to recoup hopefully a decent amount in a transfer fee.

I think the Ricky Alvarez case where Sunderland had to fork out the agreed fee plus additional costs is the precedent here and there were some injury complications to that case. Having said that, depends on what is in the contract and how the extended format to the season due to cv complicates it. But Bielsa being Bielsa, he is not going to put up with a player effecting the group morale who he doesn’t think has the right attitude. If it comes to it, buy him, sell him on at a loss and use some of the money we would have spent on White!

Baz he’s broken, his body just can’t handle it.

13 Aug 2020 12:46:30
Can’t see how we can get out of it he would have had a medical so it’s down the them for not doing there job properly and the management in agreeing to the contract but hay we all make mistakes, not sure what his wages are and if he’s not fit loan him to a club in leg 2 cause no one will buy him or pay up and let him go on a free don’t waste more in fighting it as it will cost millions.

Why not include JKA in a deal for Gonzales.

13 Aug 2020 13:13:55
Agree all above except Taddy.
If we can’t get him fit enough sell him off and learn by our mistakes or include as a buy one and get one free type of thing.
Def got potential and will be ok in lesser euro leagues like la Liga etc 👍.

No more injury prone so far than Tyler or Nketiah or prior to last season Bamford.
Bielsas methods have asked more of his body than anything he has previously been exposed to.
We don't know if he can get as fit as required.
If we look at it another way (instead of with our typical Yorkshire negativity) , maybe he wanted to be playing here and for Bielsa so much he pushed his body too quickly and kept getting injured as a result. He certainly looked in better shape after the the virus break than before.
None of use know if his attitude was bad, the club di and that could be the reason they want to get out of the deal. Who knows.

It’s going to be about the wording of the contract. If for example it said “ have to buy him if promoted by the end of May 2020, well we weren’t and we might have returned him as soon as it would be clear that we weren’t promoted by that time! somone will have to take a call on whether or not it is worth a legal fight!

Another transfer masterclass from Orta. I also think we will have to pay up.

13 Aug 2020 14:44:25
Ausman, surely someone have to question the logic that it took getting involved in a player with the baggage he had, and Monaco biting the hand off for the possibility of them extracting themselves from their loan agreement. Another Victor" diamond" unearthed, at a very very high price.

A price which if enforced will definitely have a knock on effect of our operating budget for the coming season .

13 Aug 2020 15:35:47
I agree about knock on effect but nobody gets it right all the time.

Alf and Chris - won't you ever give up on the 'Orta mistakes' line! All clubs will have mishaps in the transfer market. For example, in 2011 Liverpool bought Andy Carroll, Stewart Downing and Charlie Adam for a total of more than £63m.

13 Aug 2020 17:32:00
And whoever was responsible for those transfers at Liverpool should have lost their jobs. What is your point?

I think you have to look at all signings in balance and taking into account all Ortas transfer dealings he has been awful. I wouldn't trust him with my niece's pocket money.

13 Aug 2020 18:05:12
Fair post clueless, I think Chelsea played 72 million for a goalkeeper and now want to buy another one!

13 Aug 2020 19:26:39
Mishaps you say clueless? Try a whole team of mishaps and more, I can give you 11 donkeys unearthed by Victor right now, indeed everyone can make a mistake but not a whole bunch full

Furthermore the fact that we are not exactly an oil rich club, the financial repercussions of Victor's " mishaps" bare a lot heavier ramification.
