If Radz is serious about BW I think he’s got to up his bid to about 32 Mil. Tony Bloom knows that we are desperate to sign him and will push to receive the maximum payout. Is he worth that amount? The answer is unequivocally no.
Can we take the chance with another CB who may or may not adapt to Bielsa ball straight away . I would say pay the extra 10 or 15 Mil extra what he’s worth because that will be a drop in the ocean compared to us being relegated. Don’t think that it might not be possible, there are very fine margins in football and if we don’t get White it could be the difference.

A new striker could also be the difference between staying up or going down and an extra 10 million here would be great.
We can't spend 75% of the kitty on 1 player IMO.
Paying 35 mill for Ben is crazy if we could supposedly spend 15 mill and get a young international from spurs.
We'd then have 20 mill towards another player of Bielsas choice.
I'd love to have Ben here but 35 mill is crazy.

I am with Ausman, can't see why we would be looking at paying way over the odds for any player. £25m is the going rate for good young British centre backs. That is what we should be looking at.
Saw that BHA may be thinking if letting Duffy go. He has been comfortable in the PL, why don't we switch targets?
Even Bermo had a good idea, Cooper of Millwall. We need good players and not be to precious about which ones. At the end of the day Bielsa makes good centre backs (improvements in Cooper and Beradi) so he will invest in another player.

If we did it once, who's to say we can't do it again. Let's find a CB who will be a fraction of the figures quoted for BW. If the rumours are true it will be hard to compete, in an auction, with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool. There is bound to be more than one ball playing CB out there waiting to be given a chance and even some who have already graced the big stage.

Personally believe, White will play for England and is in my humble opinion but Brighton Chairman TONY Bloom will never budge, he’s a billionaire built Brighton’s ground out of his spare change, wrote spread betting algorithms and won international poker tournaments.
I think the most troubling news is WBA after Shane Duffy with talks ongoing says to me Brighton will be looking at two starters from Dunk, Webster and Ben White.
The others mentioned Including Duffy are not in the same league as these three.
If he sells this window I estimate It will be £30 million plus due to his age and ability to play out like leading premiership (foreign) coaches demand.
Breaks my heart to say so, but our scouting system unearthed Ben White so I’m sure Bub has many potential alternatives, which possibly will not be as good as Ben or as popular with the lads but I don’t think we can justify nearly all of our budget just on white.

Those assuming our budget is only £45m are misguided . Those assuming Liverpool or Chelsea will bid £40 m for BW are misguided . They will have bigger fish to fry and want Champions League ready players . BW will come to us for £30 m including add ons if we bid that or he will stay put .
