"Hello everyone 🙂

Can I put to every Leeds supporter an idea? Yep, thanks.

The idea is, big drum role.

Free Leeds United TV for all. 😱

Right, calmed down, I'm asking to see if I am said idiot your have just thought I am. "

I thought I hadn't posted this as I was spell checking it. Needed to replace with "you might", plus it wasn't finished 😁

What I was going onto say is. If Leeds TV made a profit of (no idea of real amount) 3 million pounds a season, could that not be paid for by use, Leeds fans, getting enough sponsorship money to buy the rights and make it free for all of us.

Fans buy teams, so why not the TV rights of home games 🤔

So now you can all go 😜🤪 idea LOL.

Only CCCP will be on board with this particularly feeble idea. Such a sale would cheapen the image of the club so shouldn't happen. However, in a virus world where big attendances no longer assured selling, giving away or under selling television rights to sporting events and by an owner who made his fortune in this area is about as wise a concept as shooting John Wick's dog.

'CCCP' 🤣😉 perhaps one should not smile at that Georgey but it is so spot on.

Televisión rights are negotiated by the leagues and individual clubs don’t have the right to sell coverage of the games in markets covered by other deals or restrictions like the UK, no televised games at 3pm Saturday rule.

The lack of championship rights sales to other European countries gave LUTV the opportunity to sell the games to other countries where the rights hadn’t already been sold. This meant that for most of the season in Spain I could watch a live game including Saturdays for 5 euros, a real bargain, less than the cost of the alcohol and crisps you would eat and drink during the game!

As I understand it, the flexibility in the Premiership will be even less because the product is sold to far more countries. So unless the virus effects the situation again and rules again, I’m not sure that LUTV is going to have the rights to show very much to anyone in most countries but I guess we will see.

For a few games during lockdown I had the choice of watching three live tv feeds of the Leeds games, sky, lutv and a Spanish commentary version through dazn.
