18 cases of the C.V. in football teams?
Given the percentage of players v the U.K. population I find this hard to believe or is it Brighton and Norwich's way of getting out of relegation by making out they can't conclude the season?

Thoughts please

{Ed033's Note - The tests give loads of false positives anyway so the tests are meaningless . We all know when we're ill with flu because we don't feel like going out. That's the real test - our own inbuilt immune system.

Doubt the players at clubs near the bottom will want to come out anyway, just seems like a hidden agenda from some clubs.

What will Preston do. Surely if reports are true they are at a disadvantage.

That’s not a nice thing to say about Alex Niel, aus.

Really hope we get to restart this season and play the remaining games, with the continued cases of C.V. being detected amongst the championship and possibility of a 2nd wave, I can see this season Not being finished on the pitch.
With the EFL seemingly unable to decide on the final outcome should the season not finish, does make me nervous.

I think it we get to play our games we will go up as the break will have benefited us, now it's like starting again and we should be fitted than most.
Anything decided by the EFL would be a lottery.

Mezz. I admire your faith and optimism.
I’m in the opposite camp.
I’d rather season end now.
I think next week both prem and champ will agree on promotion and relegation and on ppg.
It’s the only logical explanation.
Let the prem try and finish Games.
Champ ppg for me now.

That would be dangerous Aus, as it allows the likes of Villa, Norwich and Bournemouth and the other bottom feeders in the premiership to bleat on about no relegation, especially if the championship fails to restart and the premiership does. Personally I want us to go up by playing the season out, even if it takes until after Christmas to do so!

Spot on Mezzer. although I REALLY do hope what Aus is suggesting does indeed happen next week!

But until it actially happens what Aus is suggesting, I would say is somewhat fraught with danger for Leeds promotion, principally from the macavellian self interest intentions of the bottom.6 EPL. clubs, although it is likely that the bottom 6 in the EPL would still probably be overruled/ rejected by the rest of the EPL and definitely the FA in any suggestion of no relegation or promotion from curtailment.

I have been saying it for weeks that the VERY BEST chance for Leeds United promotion is for both the Premier League and the Championship to be played out. This would also be the best solution to eradicate any legal challenges/ cases of any so called perceived unfairness in relegation / promotion.

Till now the EPL are still ridiculously procrastinating having still not decided from today's latest EPL meeting that relegation and promotion via ppg to and from the EPL will happen if there would be a curtailment.

Aus I would be very suprised if any team is relegated on PPG teams may go up but i can't see anyone going down which could mean 6 teams get relegated from the prem next season.

government have been lying about C.V. for months. i suspect these figures are probably a fair reflection of the population as a whole. plus remember that people are supposed to have been 'social distancing'
