Just watching the damned utd again, haven't seen it for a few years, had a few beers and saw Mr Hunter's name, takes me back.
I was 6 in 1974 and hooked on leeds when i was given a token from the ESSO garage from my dads mate from Leeds. I'm a southern lad, but Leeds crazy, i am more fanatic now than I ever was, but the names on the film take me back. Hunter, Brenner, Giles McQueen etc. The days when if you were lucky enough to get a top, let alone a kit and play footy on fa cup day with your mates, the away kit way always the hard one to get lol. Yellow admiral away strip always looked great, but tight to wear now though lol.
Nice to reminisce, so if you have some stories guys/ gals please share, only the famous have their histories remembered and they only last a generation. I have just launched a new day in history, it's not a wind up and it's called VAC day, Victory Against Corona, please share this, VE day all over again, but with more beer and less code breaking!
Stay safe, stay in, don't stand so close to me or the police will tell you off and look forward to VAC day when you can visit the road called Elland. X.

That took me back Dougie. Watching the Cup Final on tv then running down to the park to play it all over again with your mates.
Our front room was Southish facing so we had to draw the curtains to see anything on the (b/ w) screen. I used to say "hope the neighbours don't think someone has died"

Straight after the Cup Final win against Arsenal in 1972, we replayed it in our street with a Johnny Giles Target Ball. Anyone remember those?

Funny, you were so lucky to have a kit in those days, i remember the little flag tags that were used to keep your socks up.

It is excellent dougie, I didn't realise that in the great days of DR we went so many games unbeaten against them even though I saw many of the games. Still hurts seeing the clips of the Bayern game.

I actually watched the revie cough interview on you tube straight after the damned utd, a great watch and a dignified man he was.
