If you think about it from a non partisan point of view, the best thing to do, would be to void this season and hopefully start a new season in August.
I fear this is what will be decided in this week's meeting, due to the fact that only the teams with a chance of winning their leagues, or getting promoted would vote to carry on. Relegation threatened clubs would definitely vote to void the season and the rest would see it as the right thing to do.
It's not fair, but I'm afraid getting this virus sorted is bigger than wether we go up this season or not.
MOT. Whatever happens!

Is this virus any worse than a common flu.

According to the WHO flu killed between 290000 to 650000 last year.

Doubt if they will void it, how do we decide then who goes into European competitions from PL. They need to make the fairest decision now. Void it and nothing is solved.

Trouble is no one knows how this pandemic will play out. Only thing we have to go no is what is happening now where it first started China and the East Asian region. If reports are true then the virus first became a problem there in December and the number of cases are slowing, South Korea saying they are seeing less cases each day as people are starting to recover. Reports are that Britain is weeks behind other regions including mainland Europe, so we can expect the next couple of months to become worse here. So just maybe this season doesn't get finished before the next is due to start.
Personally I think we should finish this season even if it means we miss out the rest of this year and finish the remaining games from this time next year. Maybe this will allow the population of this planet time to recover from the virus and socially everything recover. Just saying null and void this season is wrong, either finish the season at a later date or allow teams with games in hand play them behind closed doors.

It would seem sensible to go a version of the system likely to be adopted in Germany with promotion of top two in each league and no relegation. It would actually make some kind of sense for the other teams in the playoff positions to go with this. I think someone on here has already pointed out that with no teams coming down from the Prem with parachute payments, the teams just missing out this season would likely be best placed to take the three places available next year. If the season is played through to conclusion, they'd be likely to be fighting for one place this year and could have three stronger relegated teams (for example Norwich, Bournemouth and Villa) potentially blocking their path to promotion next time around.

Richie. Are you sure it's a good idea to get your medical information from a 60s rock band?
