Watching the U23 highlights and Theo Hudson! Never heard of him until now to be honest, but the boy can play, appreciate it’s only the U23’s but he has a lot of similarities with Saiz.

Had a great game yesterday. For me of late, it’s Niall Huggins who has stood out. Not a big lad, but pacy and tricky, with a hint of Strachs to him in the way he plays, and still young. We have a fantastic youth set up again, and it’s so exciting to watch!

What's worrying is they are not getting a fair chance bright, bogusz was not playing yesterday . For me he should have featured this term.

Agree Brighty. I have been impressed by Huggins whenever I have seen him. Two good feet, tricky and keeps his head up. Mind you there are a few out there who have impressed. IF we don't go up and IF our team is dismantled I am not too worried for we seem to have players ready to step up. I am only annoyed that we have not taken advantage of the loan market and sent them out for the next level of competition. U23s is one thing but playing in a league team is quite another.

Totally agree Leodis. Those not playing regularly for the 23’s should be getting first team action in lower leagues, 100%.

Bogusz was injured yesterday Chris, I thought the same as you after the Australia tour that he would breakthrough this year, think also lads like Mcalmont, Casey and Gotts have had better seasons than Bogusz so he is behind them.

None of them ever get a chance though do they? What can be the harm in giving a couple a go with 30 mins to play? How can we see how they shape up if they don’t get a chance in the first team. Does my nut in.

Bielsa has made a rod for his own back, with the form dip and the resultant pressure is is probably seen as unfair to bring on a "kid" to turn the game around. So more and more unlikely and more and more a fall back on the old troops. blooding newbies should be done in more of a nothing game, when we are 4-0 up, though not many of those around at the moment. Maybe tonight and we see Huggins with the instructions "just go out and enjoy yourself" - I wish.

Man Utd have pressure every game but they still trusted in youth, Chelsea have pressure every game but they are giving youth a chance. If the kids are as good as everyone seems to think then what's the worst that can happen? If they aren't they won't be with us beyond the summer anyway as per half of the squad from last year.

I would hazard a guess that the pressure to achieve European football, for no-one truly believes Manutd or Frank Lampard's lot can win the Prem, pales into insignificance compared with that of seeking to get Leeds back into the Prem.
