Cynicism and negative? We apparently are preparing a fourth bid for Adams when Southampton seem to be in no mood to let him go. Cynical view. The Leeds board know he won't be leaving but keep making offers that are bound to be rejected knowing they are running down the clock in the transfer window. When no one arrives the board can respond by saying 'We tried our best'.
Bamford and a few others can't be as bad as they are making out. Non league players would be embarrassed about some of the missed chances. The hard bit at Leeds level is to get yourself in a good position in front of goal and getting the ball where you would want it. Having got yourself there getting the ball on target is the easier bit. Some of Bamford's (and others) misses are difficult to comprehend. One or two maybe but consistently that bad is difficult to believe. Cynical response. Some players do well early in the season to show they can at this level but get worried they might get promotion and will be on their way out once the team is in the premiership. Plying for Leeds in the Championship is great for them. Leaving and having to go to Barnsley, Huddersfield, Millwall etc must be a frightening prospect. Who would want promotion if you're not good enough to play premiership football. Leeds is a big club who would want to leave. Smacks of turkeys voting for Christmas. Happens too often to be simply a coincidence.

Hesslian spot on re Radz and Ortas motives for multiple bids for Che Adams. I made this point too last week
I also agree with your other point about Leeds players of a certain standard happy for Leeds to remain in the Championship as they know they would not remain at the club if Leeds were to get promotion to PL.
I wonder therefore if there was an element of (subconscious) sabotage by some players in the second half of last season?

I would expect the probablr promotion bonus in their contracts would stop that happening.

you say that but Bamford has made missing the target a near art form. Half the goals he has got have been fluky deflections when the original effort was on its way wide.

Why would they bid if they didn’t mean it. As someone else said before, what if the offer was accepted? “Sorryyyyyyyy, only joking! â€. Nonsense.
And as Canada says, promotion Bonus will be well worth getting moved on in the summer, to be on the same weekly pay, or even more.

4 absolute tap ins Alf included in his hawl . Safe to say when he eventually does leave Leeds it will be a very swift drop down the leagues for him, because no one of the more promotion chasing pack would touch him with his goal stats.
