I think that is just the gaffer saying his piece and then leaving it to the board. if it all goes wrong the fans won't be able to blame him as he has come out saying he doesn't want it to happen. Indications from the club are that they are confident of getting their man.

well why not use what we already have? W have invested so much time and money in younger players so they need a chance. i'd rather that than someone from Liverpool's reserves tbh who would also be unproven at this level. Eddie scored what? 5 goals. who's to day that Edmondson wouldn't have done the same? If Bamford gets injured stick Stuarty up front if we really don't want to use any of our young players - or play without a striker like Citeh did the other day.
