Without doubt we will be replacing Nketiah this January. It’s inconceivable that Orta hasn’t made provision for this as Nketiah was odds on to leave. However, that striker will not be any of the names touted, I know we would all love to have a Che Adams, Eze, Murray, Ayew etc, ( Ayew my preferred choice) , but I can’t see any of these players clubs letting them go, even on loan!
Also where is that 20M coming from to ease away a striker from a club that doesn’t really want to sell.
Got a feeling this striker is coming from abroad on loan with a potential to buy.
In Dreamland I’d have Chris Wood back at a blink of an eye, with Bielsa’s system, he is the superior Bamford.

Whitey Think you've misunderstood the situation. 1. Object of exercise is not to equal or improve on Paddy but to replace Eddie. If he can hold the ball up 75% as well as Paddy and chip in with goals we're going to do well. That's the mission. 2. From all accounts the Saints are reluctant to do business but can be persuaded. Hopefully, Orta and Radz money can land him. My guess is the only way to get him will be to offer a Costa carbon copy type deal so the money is guaranteed to the Saints and they can use the window to try source a replacement.

Whiteman - reports suggest Saints don't wish to offload, unless they get someone else in, and even then supposedly only on loan. I'd take him at Leeds, particularly if it stops the Florists getting him. It would be typical of Leeds to go all out to get him to exclusion of all other options, only to be beaten to him at the last minute by those tricky trees.

My predictions
Southampton will have Adams for the test of the season and will not let him leave
Leeds won't sign anybody other than a goalkeeper in this January window.

my prediction bazooka is that is you are correct i will personally travel to leeds (not on a match day due to my bock) and I will kick belisa so hard in the nuts that he will not even be able to sit on a bucket and will need a dog to translate for him as only dogs will be able to hear his voice due to the high pitch of the tone as his balls will be around his ears.

Whitey Wasn't the goal fest at St Andrews enough for you? We can make use of more goals from another striker that's for sure but more importantly he must fit in with style of play. Someone who can hold the ball up. Che Adams is my number one target being realistic. From the sound of things, you want the club to aim higher. Who do you want?

George, granted Adams is a no nonsense striker, can hold the ball up and score goals, my concern is the adaptation criteria. It will take time to ft into Bielsa ball and with the clock ticking towards the end of season I've got a feeling that Bielsa may feel more comfortable adapting Tyler Roberts into the role of striker should Bamford get injured.
If so it’s going to make us fans feel very nervous, but let’s not forget, Bielsa is the Master Blaster. and Bermo i think his nuts are made of Kryptonite mate, that’s how good he is .

George, is it wrong to want to aim higher, buy someone who’s the same as we have is a waste of money that something we are good at, If the master plan is PL buy someone who will fit that, if it’s not the don’t buy at all, we had a good defensive until it was ripped apart now that needs fixing.
