Looking back at both Preston and Weds games. I thought we were a little more defensively set up, especially the Weds game .
Think Bielsa might be thinking a draw away at top half teams is a point gained while still hoping to nick it.
Drawing some of the games that we lost last year because we were little gung ho might be one area
he is working on improving.
We have conceded 8 goals in 14 games ( while scoring 17)
Does anyone know what the stats on goals for and against was after 14 games last season.
Pontus going probably has not weakened us too much.
Eddie replacing Roofe still a question mark.

good point and while many point out we have one more point at this stage results are not as good
last year we drew with wall and beat preston that is three points less over the two games
he is working on imporving but are we improving. Last year we fell short we need to be better than last year and i'm not sure we are.

I’m with you Bermo on Bielsas stubbornness and how’ve that may cost us promotion (I also am massively questioning whether we are good enough for it) . But I think the fact that he is trying a different approach is commendable. Going to tough away days and trying to at least come away with a point is decent.
I guess the question then becomes “Can you get out of this league by just not losing games? â€. Can you make the top 2 by taking draws against the teams around you, maybe scalping a couple of wins and then picking off the rest as much as you can?
I think certain other teams have got out of the league that way, but I’m not sure if the side that we have will be the best equipped to do it. That attitude more suits a Villa or Sheffield United who feel no shame in shithousing a draw or scrappy win.

i think we can MBTN but not when we lose to the weaker teams like charlton and millwall, who ever goes up will probably get 6 points from both teams
like last year some teams we should turn over play defensive and physical and get the wins. this needs to change sharpish.

The league is there for the taking, we could storm this league if Bielsa made decisions based on results rather than his principles and ethics. That's why I don't think we'll get promoted this season. We'll see so many opportunities go to waste to get points and they will be spunked away by Bielsa's misguided stubbornness.

its great that one team is not running away with league but sad thing is that team could be us.
