John Aldridge a great Liverpool goal scorer from the past.
Think he only scored once in his first 27 or 28 internationals . The style of play did not suit him, see the same thing with Bamford.
Plus he appears to be a half a second out of sync with those around him.
All the other parts of his game are good and the team as a whole are good enough, we are just not converting possession into goals.
We should be 10 points clear at the top of the league.

Having seen limited matches I'd be interested in people honest opinions on this.
Are the 'chances' Bamford is not putting away ones where we'd expect any striker to score or half chances?
I ask because the little I've seen space is a premium as teams pack the defence so a large number seem like speculative efforts rather than good chances.

Bamford in about 200 appearances over 6 season has 60 goals (cheers wikipedia) , not really a great record, I'm guessing all the teams he's played for werentvin sync with him, don't want to knock the lad but eddie should be given a chance.

Canada lots of the chances are ones where you think he should do better, some are ones where you think you'd actually do better yourself.
Other players are also missing chances which makes matters worse, this reflects onto Bamford also.
At least six chances last night fell to players other than Bamford, these players should also have done better.
Watched City and Pool recently and they also miss plenty of chances.
The difference is they can take enough of there chances to make the difference .
We sit in second place in championship, City sit in second place in prem.
Sheff Utd put in a great display against Arsenal with a one nil win.
The gap between us and the Blunts last season was not that big .
It could be argued we were the better side over the two games against them.
So all the negativity and calls from some for massive changes could have a massive negative impact.
Its not broken it just needs some slight tweeking.
Two players in the window, a Saiz and a Mitrovic type, who bed in quickly could make a massive difference.

Thanks 1970. If he's missing good opportunities then it's worth trying Eddie for two reasons.
Firstly Eddie simply may do better and secondly if he doesn't and we bring Bamford on that extra split second of time he gets as defenders are more tired may make the difference and get him goals.

we have about 30 games left including one in FA Cup both Bamford and Eddie will have a role to play. Think Bamford needs a rest and Bielsa does not want to put young players in and over play them, ending in burning them out.

Bamford is a supposedly experienced championship forward, so we should expect more than just good hold up play!

He doesn’t get much space as we move forward slow and they defend deep plus he gets no support from wingers who might occupy defence

That said he should of done better with some and I’m a fan of his.

He used to hit the target although at the keeper. Now he generally blazes wide/ over or shifts responsibility with a pass.
