I remember when we had central defender depth of a reasonable standard. No Beckenbauers but they were physically able to cope with the league, could put in a shift and not give fans advance concern before a game or palpitations during it. Leigh Bromby Richard Jobson Patrick Kisnorbo Richard Naylor Lubomir Michalik Tom Lees Jason Pearce. Bera isn't even a central defender. Don't understand why Struick not on bench. Bielsa thinks Davis is ahead of him but he's a left back and we had Douglas. I am also just beginning to detect genuine anxiety on face of Bielsa now. Think he will walk fairly soon.

Robert Molanraar. forgive spelling probably had the most positive impact when he was brought in. We need somebody like him now.

geogre best post ever. how MB thought two Cb's was enough is beyound mental and sackable in own right. BEraddi should be no where near leeds right back spot let alone CB.

Bw and George - those defenders are responsible for conceding 6 at home to Preston 5 at home to Blackpool both under Grayson and 7 at home to Forest under Warnock.

Bazooka They certainly had their bad games but did they get sent off on average every 15 games? Did they get sent off in a 2nd leg of a playoff semi-final? Were they vertically challenged which no central defender should be in the Championship?

The only ones in your list that I would put even on par with our current squad of CBs from that list are Kisnorbo and Pearce.

George, I agree on Berardi I would not pick him at all abd certainly not centre back. Bielsa error of judgement.
My point was with the players you listed
I have seen them concede a barrel load of goals over the seasons under Grayson, Warnock abd other managers .
This season we will not concede 5, 6 or 7 at home that is for sure.
