If we get automatic promotion it will be despite Bam Bam leading the line . His stats so far this season read : 25 shots, 11 on target ( a pathetic 44% with most of those straight at the keeper ) and 4 goals . That just shows how many chances the team are producing for him and how many he's screwing up . Compare that to the other leading strikers in the division ( Baston and Taylor ) who are scoring more goals from half the chances . We were very lucky to escape with the three points on Saturday . Could easily have been a goal or two down we're it not for Barnsley's finishing, before Costa and Eddie came on . Better teams would have punished us for not taking our chances .

RHC Paddy is a different type of centre forward. Goals and shot accuracy not his strength. Dragging defenders away, making runs are. Time for George's 4-4-2 at home anyhow. With Eddie, we could score 4 or 5 goals in home matches.

Just so opposing teams actually aren't ready for our usual formation and I do believe we will score more.

Batty Cork and Spaniard will attest to my clamouring for 4-4-2 for the longest. Championship defenders will not be able to cope with Paddy and Eddie.

I’m beginning to agree with you, certainly for home games, George. It could be just what’s needed to turn ER into a fortress again, and give opposing managers a shock.

Absofrickingexactly Bright. Opposing teams and managers would get a shock. Want to knock the stuffing out of teams, make them feel overrun and depressed.
