Let's be clear, we play some sharp football in two thirds of the pitch but are quite poor in front of goal. Harrison and Bamford really struggle and need almost open goals to get the job done. I wonder why bielsa continues to start with them when he has Eddie and Costa on the bench.

On the other hand he might believe that they can only have the effect later in the game when the opposition is slowing down. We lost at Swansea and we could have easily dropped points today. Eddie and Costa made the difference. Hope they can do it from the start. If they can't we may struggle in too many games. Roberts might make a difference. Good win but too much of a struggle to be re assuring.

dont think going forward is the worry, Personally i would start eddie and costa but as a few have said maybe the plan is to bring on with tired legs, we have scored somthing like 75% of our goals under MB in the second half so maybe that is the plan

it is the defending that keeps me up rocking at night

just seen MOTD and seems MB's mate Pep is in the same, we don't need to defend corners club. A joke of a display by city and near post corners is a reccuring weakness, why do then not get in someone like pulis to sort it out? Before any point to City's record and say well they are doing alright. of course they are they are a great team and left 260 million talent on bench. my point is why do they have blindness to certain areas?

We should always play our strongest team and aim to win the game from the start instead of trying to pinch it in the last ten minutes. Costa and Eddie should be part of our strongest 11.

Notts Disagree on the "always". First time for everything. Bringing on Rica and Eddie last 20 minutes must be absolutely horrible for opponents especially when weariness has set in. It's a good tactic to employ sometimes against lesser teams if that's how Bielsa wants to set up. However, it is utterly unacceptable against the better teams. One must start them then. What this really comes down to is Bielsa's system and overloyalty problem. I believe the answer is 442 at home, Bielsa's preferred system away. In any event, Harrison needs benching and I don't see much difference in ability between him and Wilks so peculiar why we didn't retain him. He does have a significant legal problem though which may be why we let him go. Good to see Shacks even though he faded second half. Value of a competitive squad shows now.

I agree with horse for courses but I don't believe we are doing this at the moment.

Notts Now you are fully correct on that one.

Pep hasn't done too badly with his philosophy over the years despite Citeh being skint and him not being able to buy any players.

Very true Alf I remember the dark days when poor old coy. Couldn’t put out a full bench times are hard and brexit means brexit.
