This maybe slightly controversial.
This issue with Bury When we have had financial issues in past we were looked upon totally different . Clubs seem to be very happy for us to be deducted points and I'm sure people would of been full of glee if we had been kicked from the league.
I certainly don't want to see people loose jobs and clubs going under but I'm not a fan of this poor little parochial club sympathy where people love kicking Leeds when they are down . Just a thought I may have the wrong end of the stick.

This is a little off topic mighty but your mention of Bury reminded me of this thing I watched yesterday. It was called something like Want To Win. Vinne Jones did a lot of the talking on it. All about the rise of Leeds under Wilko. If nobody has seen it then it is worth a watch. I never realised how hilarious Wilko was at times. He says something about 'if you don't want to work hard and be up for these big games the go play for someone like, Bury! ' And as me and a few mates watched we all said the same thing. "Well, you can't now. "
It is sad in fairness. Shocking would have been a one club city like Leeds wasn't so far away from being the same not so long back.
Imagine the time n half just the Yorkshire police would have lost then when the likes of Milwall came to visit ;)

There wasn't a national outpouring of grief when it happened to Halifax (and others) and it is a small town club, so I am perplexed as to why Bury are getting the sympathy. Also, Halifax were kicked down a few divisions but the EFL are open to discussions about letting Bury stay in second division. It all seems a bit unequal to me.

Think the difference is that Halifax are still in existence and Bury are gone completely.

Alf Untrue. Bury still exist. They can join an amateur league if they pass their particular criteria.

Malta, it was "do you want to win" and I mentioned it a 6 weeks back. I watched it on my way to tenerife and was brilliant. If you haven't seen it well worth a watch!
