Presume someone else has previously posted on Bury over the last couple of weeks, but I hope the Shakers do challenge the EFL in the courts. Can't imagine the EFL's processes in this matter would hold up to proper legal scrutiny - and it's about time those 'running' the organisation were shown up for the muppets that they are.

Totally agree Clue. They are far from fit or proper themselves.

Jevans saying she's 'devastated' by Bury's expulsion, and that EFL need to learn lessons from it. How about not expelling them then, and punishing the idiots running the systems that enabled football clubs like Bury to get in such a mess in the first place.

There’s a petition out there somewhere calling for an independent governing body. That could only be good in my opinion.

What I want to know is how come Bury were punished at all when none of the letters in their name represent even a tiny fragment of Leeds? On second thought, maybe they were penalized due to the U in Bury. Leeds United. What a way to go! Should have been called Bory or Bary.

Think the EFL's fit and proper persons test needs questioning for a start. The owner Mr. Dale brought the club for a £1 but was unable or reluctant to put money into the club. It appears he was only in it hoping to sell it on and make a quick buck? Why wasn't more scrutiny put into place regarding his finances and plans to invest in the club. It appears the fit and proper persons test isn't fit for purpose. Got to feel sorry for the fans of Bury!

again there is one simple way out, the debts belong to the onwers not the clubs. stops people like risdale walking away debt free while we still hold his debt. Then clubs would be debt free and able to find new buyer, clubs would not be docked points or fold but bad onwers would be ruined which for me seems fairer.

Agree with that Bermo.

That's a very sensible suggestion Berm - so clearly not the kind of thing the EFL/ FA would consider.
