At the start of this season I was worried about how the squad would react to the end of the last one and the loss of Pontus and Roofe. I think it's fair to say, that worries gone. So far the reaction has been a very positive one and we can get on with the challenges of the season. Whether last year returns to haunt us later in the season if we are in a similar position is another matter but not one to worry about yet.
Think we've shown that we have a stronger squad this year even at CB because we have Struick and Davis to come in, who to me are better than Aappo, last years emergency cover. On the rest of the pitch we have good competition for places and from the younger kids, great competition to get on the bench. Like us to beat Swansea next week and that will be a very good August!

Agree spanish, I know it's early days but do hope it we are challenging come January and have our usual injury problems we learn the lesson and recruit it needed in the January transfer window.

Can’t disagree with that Spanish, as you say a win against Swansea will top season start of nicely.
Really enjoyed the game yesterday, that Dallas goal and the build up was something else. Great to see the lads having a few more punts at goal from outside the area rather than trying to walk the ball into the net.
Pablo more involved in the central role yesterday and great he had captains armband.
Onwards on upwards ðŸ‘.

certainly no play off hang over which is great
not sure about stronger in defence last year cover was beradi this year cover is beradi. last year beradi started well. this year beradi started well. last year beradi finished badly as was found wanting sharp end of season against the better teams. untill we are up i would not tempt fate. this time last jan 99% of leeds fans were dreaming of the prem look what happened
I am enjoying the wins at the moment and long may they conitiue but until we are up I can't get carried away.

Understand the concern Bermo about the defense, think and hope White will be sturdier and also less likely to pick up loads of yellows and reds. But we have Davis and Struik behind them, better than last year. Struick got on the bench on Saturday always a good sign with Bielsa and hopefully a game on Tuesday. Like him to get more exposure. Given all the build up I’ve given him, he will probably have a night mare, hope not because he can calm some of the CB worries for me.
I also think, if we are in contention in Jan, we will try and get someone in, if we really have a need in Bielsas eyes and if suitable available, big ifs I know!

Spaniard Davis isn't ready for first-team action yet in terms of his quality. Needs to improve. White is the man. Will he play 46 league games though? If he does, we're in for a treat and so is Casilla with flattering clean sheets stats.

was out yesterday so didn't see bench but personally i'm over the moon stuijck got on the bench. glad to see the promotion to the first team.

George, My view is Pascal is better than Davis for CB and pleased he got on the bench. Now he needs a chance on Tuesday to show us what he can do. White is the business but no guarantee that Cooper and White won’t be our at the same time, good to see what the others offer.
