seen a few interesting posts on slaeries doubling

we don't know that we know wage bill has gone up but rads is on that bill

last season our wage bill was 10th heighest but our compeitition money was 4th due to finish, plus tv money, plus gate recpits and merch sales plus investment from 49ers etc

so we can assume our income was above 10th in the league and above our outlay

then we sold 30 players no players have signed bumper deals and income of players is not huge,

so how has the wage bill doubled. how much is costa on?

lets not be fooled people if wages have gone up then rads must of added a lot to his wage as the money can not of been spent else well

rads is a charleton. yes a charleton and should be hounded out of town by an angry crowd with pitch forks.

Agree0 Disagree0

People talking about last season's costs. This season's is unknown for sure.

13 Aug 2019 17:41:45
Those figures don't include any of this season's signing - they are the figures for last year. We won't know this year's figures until the end of this season.

Despite our large incomings (about £40m) we ended last season with a debt of about £5m due to overheads. These overheads include the wages and the payments to the board and the rent or ER (£2.2m) .

So this close season we needed to balance the books, plus pay for any new players and wage increases etc. We made around £27m in player sales (plus some undisclosed so maybe a mill more? ) and spent around £10m including loan fees and wages for players like Eddie (£35k per week and £2m loan fee) .

That gives us around £16m to play with imo. Unless wages have gone up so much it costs an additional £16m in which case surely loaning is a poor option to choose?

yeah but canada this seasons is unknown for sure but we know

we have lost 30 players

white loan, clarke loan, liam mcclaomon or whatever the kid is called and costa. there is no way the overall wage bill has gone up has it so we must be 10th or lower this year.

We should be yes, but we won't know until end of year.
It won't matter anyway next year as well have premier League money.

Do Costa, White et al play for nothing?

13 Aug 2019 18:57:28
notts you will see i said that

no they don't play for nothing but neither do the 30 players we have let go. i would say our few incomings (some of which parent clubs might of covred some of the wages which is common place) is less than the 30 players who have left . that would be my guess

as for prem league money have to wait and see. maybe we would have it now had rads spent in jan when we were so close to the prize.

Have we moved on 30 players?

13 Aug 2019 19:36:58
yes notts something around that figure

lets be honest look at outgoing and incomings you seem to be insinutating you think the wage bill could of gone up. seriously do you think that?

13 Aug 2019 20:01:10
Not counting this seasons outgoings on wages but also not counting this seasons income.

13 Aug 2019 20:16:38
Not sure we have moved on 30 players this season.

I can see us paying a large proportion of Costa's wage as I doubt he would have left Wolves for a significant wage drop and he will become permanent next season. Same with Nketiah as their was competition for his signing. Harrison and White won't be cheap but their may have been some contribution from the parent club. Realistically, only Clarke will have come with Spurs covering the wage however Levy is not known for his generosity therefore this I should not a given. Nketiah, Costa, White, Harrison could easily be costing us 80k a week in wages.

notts stop nit picking we sold 22 from first team and 23s (look it up and research) plus others we let go makes over 30 (again look it up)

my point to you is this. with outgoings over incomings do you think players wage bill has gone up or down. i think its gone down but what do you think?

do you want to answer that or repeat that you ain't sure it's 30 (again look it up)

Accountants, accountants everywhere!

13 Aug 2019 22:34:59
Bermo. You think our wage bill has gone down from Massimo? All those cheap players from lower EU leagues? Now we are paying up to £40k per week on some, and others have had pay rises to extend their contracts. Stick to writing plays with poor spelling, and stay away from numbers.
