Around half of our players have had 3 season's at trying to win promotion and failed which tells me they ain't good enough. For me the current squad will not get in the top 2 we may dominate games but again when going to struggle to score and put games to bed where weaker at the back same in midfield and possibly slightly better going forward with Costa but only at the moment we could still see major players leave in Roofe and Phillips.

Same goes for every other team regarding promotion and failure. It’s simple mathematics. Only three teams go up out of twenty four!

Your statement that most of the squad has been together for 3 years is factually correct, but only just, and I struggle to see how you are joining it up to your opinion that it's shown it is not good enough to get promotion.
Making debuts last season were Casilla, Douglas, Klich, Roberts, Halme Clarke, Shakleton and Harrison. This coming season we will see White and Costa make debuts.
Surely having a core of established players is of value. Liverpool's champions league winning team weren't all bought last year.

how is cooper, beradi, Dallas etc going to become good enough all of a sudden? when we ain't unlike liverpool brought in huge improvments like van dyke robertson and their keeper.
