If you could sign one striker to guarantee our necessary goals to conversion ratio who would it be? My question is because I’m struggling to identify anyone, whether that be buy or more realistically a loan.
Rumours doing the Brighton fan pages is new playing style would see Glen Murray surplus to requirements? But anyone know of any untapped gems out there? Nothing was expected of Pukki at Norwich and yet he took them up.
I believe if we only bought/ loaned ONE 25-30 goal man we could probably carry the same team as last year, just finding one.

Was thinking same thing myself class. Think we need a striker but none out there look better than what we have. Edmondson should be able to step up. Gayle would have been my choice but we had no chance with that one. Wilks should be given a chance even out wide as he has shown he has something. Maybe not the sort of character Bub wants though.

Thanks guys a good exercise, I hadn’t thought of Sturbridge, McBurnie would score goals for us but think he’s too devisive after all the James comments. Bowen would be good but no guarantee he could repeat it, so it does point back to looking within at what we have, suppose that’s the purpose of the preseason games along with fitness. Would still take Murray he’s a dirty crafty sod but born goalscorer.

Class. I think McBurnie is an excellent shout.
I loved his aggressive stance when we were looking at James. can't abide the vanilla sound bites that come out of peoples mouths these days, for fear of being called this and that
He was standing up for his team. He wanted his mate to stay with him. When have you heard that from one of our current squad? Who was publicly say that Jack Clarke should stay and become a legend? No one.
From the little I have seen of him, he has similar mobility to Roofe, but with a much bigger frame that he loves to put about. And it looks like his goal output for an average side is good, could that improve with the more chances we create?
Wex seems like the posting version of McBurnie. Never afraid to tell it like it is, in his opinion. Always prepared to put his head above the parapet. We don't seem to ever agree but I love him being such a passionate poster and Leeds fan. Our site is better for him being here
Personally I think Murray would cost too much in wages to be viable if a fee was included too.

With his goals to minutes ratio of 1 goal every 161 minutes, if Bamford had played every game last season he would have scored 25+.

i can see what you are saying Wex,
i don't think bamford will set the world alight i just think he can do a decent job from the bench, let's be honest his first season with us was better than roofes and roofe was very good last year so if bamford makes the same progression he is worth 25 goals this year (not that i think he will but think he is worth 15)
as for KP i have said it all before but I am going down the 'the professionals know more than us route'
spurs are a pretty good team so let's assume their cheif scout knows what he is saying.
last november i broke the spurs want clarke story after speaking to their cheif scout over a pint. when i asked if spurs where looking at KP he spat his pint out and laughed. then composed himself and said no. no we are not
so to spurs expert at finding players the idea of phillips playing for them is laughable. i agree with this notion, i will also say what i said last year. any team with phillips in the first team will not get promotion. we didn't last year and won't this year if he stays. the thought of anything else to me is laughable.
