I was so convinced last year that it was finally happening
Even my youngest son rallied to the cause
He’s actually a red, the good red and now shares a love for Milner that i assured he’d get when Millie signed for them
Leeds became his second club. He understood what I felt. He saw a packed ER, the scarves held up. This was a real club, with real fans. He understood. No plastic club with tourist fans, this was real.
He was as crushed as I was in that one 20 minute good spell the sheep had against us
I shared his joy at Millie adding the European cup to his collection. Anyone but Salford right?
Promotion gave us everything
The finances to ensure these young players didn’t have to be picked off by “ bigger clubsâ€. No not bigger. Just those with more finances, absolutely not bigger.
So if JC is sold, whatever the deal, I hate it
I know it balances the books, maybe brings in a bit of cash for strengthening but I hate it.
It reminds me how close we got last year
This club has everything in place to challenge at the very top, apart from money
We can produce players, but I want to see the day they don’t have to be sold on
I want to see our young players come in and know they can achieve everything in a white shirt.
I still feel that day is coming again but I’m sad to see another talent allowed to leave
I know it’s business but I love football and I love my club.

Other Woody 100% agree . We need an owner with some brass and the same ambition as the fans . Does not mean he will do a Ridsdale like the Rads sycophants suggest . Just a sensible net spend on the first team squad and not selling our best young talents . The DJ fiasco speaks volumes . A regime trying to be too clever by half and trying to get promotion on the cheap . That’s absolutely not a dig at Radz
He’s working within his means and if it makes is a more attractive prospect to buy so be it
We’re in a more secure position, the academy is back up to standard and he unified the club and has moved us forward
No problem with him continuing with what he’s doing.

The bottom line for me is that the squad needs some strengthening. I don't think anyone on here wants to see reckless spending and putting the Club in to massive debt. But as RHC says just some sensible net spending. Surely there has to be a bit of speculate to accumulate, to get that bit of quality that Bielsa wants in. I don't think we can have as good a season again without 2 or 3 quality additions.

Pretty much the same team as last year will struggle to get in top six . The team needs freshening up in my view .

RHC, “ rads sycophantsâ€! Why does everyone who disagrees with you have to be slagged off. Respect other people’s opinions if you want to be respected yourself. Doesn’t have to be so tribal! We all want the best for the club and allowed to have different opinions on how to achieve it!

This club has everything in place to challenge at the very top except money. I hate reading that because it’s not true. The right manager with the proper infrastructure will bring success. And we have both in abundance. Role on our centenary year!
