The deal to buy the Barcodes is supposedly for £350m. Rads must be thinking if only I had of spent a few million in January!
To get out of this league he has to invest in a bigger squad with the right quality. Funds seem to be very scarce. No investment as yet.
If we are mid table end of October think Rads might be gone by Christmas because if we look like we are not going up, we are then rolling over into season 4 of his ownership and given the current lack of investment, I cannot see him suddenly finding the funds to turn it around
His challenge is to improve the squad sufficiently to have a sustainable challange this season. If this does not appear to be on he might just have to sell sooner rather than later.

i think rads to his credit knew we needed players but couldn't afford it
bit like i know my wife needs lypo and botox but can't afford it

Radz has to invest as MB will walk I do believe not matter how the fans feel they will not let him get away with it specially if as you have said by October if we are mid table.

Didn't Radz's problems with Eleven Sports really start to kick in in January. While he maintained that it would have no direct impact on his ownership of Leeds, it must have made him feel much more exposed financially. And given these problems emerged in an area in which he had much experience and supposed expertise, it may also have caused him to question his own judgement more generally. It may therefore be that he had fully intended to splash some cash in January but that, given the wider circumstances, he felt limited to the apparent attempt to secure Dan James with minimal initial outlay. 49ers may also have had pause for thought on whether Radz and Leeds were quite so worthy of their backing as first thought, and therefore also been reluctant to fund reinforcements. Of course we may never know exactly why the necessary money was not forthcoming.

clueless i think your post is spot on and probably very accurate
rads was always going to say his buisness going down the karzie would not affect leeds but it was always going to. many on here say rads knows best sucessful businessman etc. but he made a huge mistake that most saw coming, i now feel with his business gone he is cligning to us as a cash cow. making him not much better than bates.

I thought it was Biesla who said he didn’t want any players in aug and was happy with the squad.
Radz May have messed up with James but originally it was Biesla. I think.

We can carry on having this debate about Radz but it isn’t really going to get us anywhere. Not sure anybody on here really knows his exact financial position and the impact on his business of the disappointing sales of Italian football championship coverage. No one yet has been able to say how much more under the rules we could spend this year compared with what we are spending.
If you really feel that strongly about him, launch a Radz our campaign, boycott the games and put together an action plan to get him out. Whiteman has always impressed me with his personal boycott as at least he is taking some action.
Talking about him on here might make us feel better or worse but it’s not going to alter his actions . It really comes down to an individual judgement on what you believe and how much you are prepared to trust him. Not sure us spending the whole year on a Radz is bad, Radz is good, Radz is ok debate is going to help us move it on much.
I like what he has done at the club, I think last year he, Orta and Bielsa all made mistakes at different times that contributed to us missing a great opportunity but I believe it was close enough and good enough to justify another attempt this year! I accept some don’t agree with me and I respect your opinions, doesn’t make any of us a bad person. Doesn’t make any of us stupid either, everyone is capable of reading all the info out there and making their own conclusions as we do with KP, Kiko and everything else!
I have posted a separate item on here about the fair play financial restrictions and it might give us some factual basis for the investment in players debate if someone could actually make some kind of a calculation on how much we could “legally†spend on transfer fees and wages in 2019/ 20. I would imagine the figure must be calculable as clubs have to try and budget within it. If we could come up with that figure it would give us an idea of how much the real gap is between what we could spend and what we are spending.
Final point on the transfer and players front. We moan about the size of the squad but we do actually have a long list of players when you included all those out on loan who we paid some kind of a fee for and have a financial commitment to through their contracts, Saiz being a notable example. Even if we move these players on or get them out on loan again, that’s a lot of work that someone has to do that pulls resources from quality first team players. Need to sort that list of loaners out!

I concur, so this will be my last post regarding Radz.
I also worry about a huge long list of loaned out players and how they are affecting the first teams progress like a dead weight holding us back.

It’s a long long list and must add up in terms of how much we paid for them and what our contracted salary commitment is.
