Daily mail topic: Grealish is the most fouled player in the whole of the EFL with 154 fouls against. Next has 109 fouls against. If this is the case why does he not wear shin pads like everyone else.

Shin pads! The poor snowflake requires a protective bubble.

White To emphasize the pain and foul because it helps him claim the free kick. He's weird.

He's a young kid I think he likes to think he's a trend setter with his hair an all that with him thinking I'm best player in Championship so I'm special so I need to look and be different.

Why don’t we actually foul him hard and scare him out the game?

14 May 2019 15:39:05
I’d love to kick him into row Z!

He does wear them. Its against Law 4 not to wear shin pads and they have to be covered by the socks. He has a superstition of having to play with his socks rolled down so he wears tiny child sized ones so he can still wear them and cover them with socks therefore complying with the rules while still being aligned with his superstition.

Personally, I think its a bit of a loophole but if I was playing against him i would toe punt him in the shin 'accidentally' while going for the ball and breaking his shin.

Re the stat - its probably not fouls against as much as the highest number of 'successful deceptions of a match official'

{Ed001's Note - he actually wears small ones because of his obsession with being like George Best, which is also why he has the longish hair. He laughably also thinks he can play like Best!

By the way, you would be more likely to break your toe than his shin.}

Alf What did you eat bro? That's a very intellectual post of yours.

Obsessed with being like George Best. Think he would have stayed Irish then.

yeah, maybe break is a bit far but it would blummin hurt him and a badly bruised shin would make him think twice about gliding past defenders.

I can certainly believe the George Best angle though, even though Grealish himself has denied it in the past.

"A lot of people say that it’s because of George Best, " he said. "While I love him and admire so much what he did, that isn’t the reason. " He added: "It's a superstition that I've done all my life and I'm going to keep it that way. A few referees have tried telling me but I've got to keep it like that. "

Fortunately he doesn't play for Leeds or it would mean a new rule brought in to stop it happening, a fine of £200k and a ban for life for the player. Well, after the 4 months of meetings to discuss it, of course.

{Ed001's Note - it was Grealish himself that said it was because of Best too! He drinks so much he can't remember the crap he has spoken.}
