He's the best thing since sliced bread - but I do wish MB would stop telling the world what his plans are. Absolutely no need to tell everyone they won't kick the ball out if a Derby player is down unless the referee stops play. It appears that Derby are in a perilous financial position, much like Villa and not going up has serious implications for them. They will do whatever is needed to progress in my view and whatever pressure they may have felt about doing the right thing if one of our players goes down has now been lifted from them. I still think we can beat them - but baring our soul like this is unnecessary.

Your right Manston in what you say. But this manager we have has principles and I personally love it. For too long everyone hates us which has always hindered us as a club. The feeling over here is he’s an absolute fair play no bullshit magician. MOT.

Principles, and honesty. Yes he was caught scouting training, but he came out and admitted doing it to everyone, because he thought he didn’t break rules, and why he did it. He’s now clarified something else contentious, for which we were slated, and come out above everyone else. This man is right for us. He’s brilliant, as a coach, a man manager, and a person. He is Leeds. ALAW?

You too Brighty. Would be very, very hard to disagree with you.

MP Good post.

Corky and Bright, I agree. Giving a very clear steer to the players and giving them the public protection that it his his instruction.

MP

If, as you say, Derby are in a must win situation then they may be prepared to do anything to win.

That would include players feigning injuries, either to waste time if they are close to winning or if we were in a dangerous attacking position, to stop play.

By letting the world, and Derby, know that we now won't stop play in those situations he has effectively taken them out of any Derby game plan.

Yet again, in my opinion, he has shown his brilliance.

Long may Marcelo reign.

MOT 💛💙.

Ther's literally no need to watch anyones training sessions now as MB has probably already watched every single Derby game from this season and he will know exactly how they play.

MP agree with your point when it comes to team selection but in this instance i think he is right. I was always told you play to the whistle. If a team is attacking and a player goes down in the center circle why should they stop. that's the refs call. Players are not out there to make the refs decisions for him. Bub has made it clear that we will play to the rules so there are no grey areas. Ref was happy to give us the goal against Villa and in my opinion the way Villa players reacted attacking Klich the FA should have taken action, r the ref even should have booked about 4 players for grabbing him, is that not recognised as assault? So i think Bubs is right to put the onus on the ref and now the Derby players might get back on their feet a bit quicker.

Brightwhite, honesty is something you have before you get caught, not after.

That’s actually a very wise statement Whiteman!
