Hahaha, just pulling your leg, lads. What a great result that was.

Aaronson is an absolute baller. Great day, great start to the season. Plus the boys won me some money as an added bonus.

Got a lot of faith in the squad this season. We looked sharp and was nice to have players of a higher caliber than last season be able to come off the bench and make a difference. Nice to have a bit of depth throughout the squad.

Great result Dill vital win 3 points on the board

but also could have lost that game but for Meslier brilliance

Defence still a problem looks like conceding every game so will need at least 2 goals to win a game

Team and Squad strength must be improved

A pacy LB,
A potent CF a must

esp with likely injuries during season

And a pacy CD ( loan) would be wise as our defence is slow.

True Baz, we could have lost it without Messlier, but I’m all fairness, that’s what he is there for. In contrast, we could have also won it comfortably if VAR did it’s job, BamBam header a few inches wider etc.
Let’s all just accept we played well and won.

I staf8ed yesterday on here at the final whistle we generally played pretty well; and delighted ofc with the 3 points

Always wise though to look to see how important improvements can be made MG.

Baz pal, glad you don’t hide after a positive result, and two good posts just there.
Think Brendan got some undues during pre season, but showed his real abilities yesterday. Also, Klich. Made a big difference when he came on. I could understand if he wanted to leave, but I’d rather he stayed and fought! Good player still.

I think you can buy as many pacy defenders as you want but our style will create opportunities for teams that break quickly and move the ball around. Think the style needs to be adjusted to ensure defence is more of a priority at least at certain times in the game. Our style now seems to be a more conservative version of Bielsa, so should concede less but still think we’ll concede and need to take those opportunities.
