I guess if KP goes to Citeh, he can constantly be reminding Haaland of his roots, and that when he’s earned far more money than he actually needs from his contract over there, he would be very welcome to come to Leeds to fulfill his childhood dream of winning the Prem our white shirt - and of course supplementing his Dad’s old shorts with some new ones of his own.

A LB upgrade for sure but would also be a very solid replacement ton artner Roca in DM, having seen him play in mid for Ukraine.

Canada - I almost added the same thoughts re Zinchenko to my post - so totally agree with you on that. While he only has 1 senior appearance at DM, his defensive strengths and wider midfield experience would seem to suggest he could play there more often if required. He’s played more than 20 times in his senior club career at CM, and most of his games for Ukraine have been in that position. Early in his career he even played at AM for a few games. That kind of versatility could help Marsch move easily between formations in-game.

I’d take zinchenko, perfect for what we need, I think he is on somewhere between 20-50k a week I’ve read different things . I’m sure if we offloaded costa and Rodrigo we could free up the budget.

I really hope the organization sends a clear message to Chity, that if girlish was worth 100M to play partime, and Erling 60M, then KP's valuation should be somewhere in the middle. But I really hope the message they send is NOT FOR SALE .

CA - I’d love KP to stay at Leeds, but it’s had to argue with an argument put forward by a number of Leeds content creators that if Citeh stump up £60m+ (or say Zinchenko + an appropriately reduced balance in cash) for him, and if he wanted to go, it could turn out to be a decent deal for all concerned, given his age and recent injury issues. KP would get the opportunity to compete for trophies and possibly prolong his England career, Citeh would get a great DM, who they would almost certainly rotate, thereby reducing risks of future injury, and, so long as a good quality replacement was brought in (in addition to Marc Roca - if he’s confirmed) , we would also have cash to improve quality and or depth elsewhere in the squad.

The theory of the Nations League is half decent - doing away with meaningless friendlies and also provide the lesser nations a meaningful structure in which to play similar standard nations (rather than just constantly being cannon fodder in any competitive matches) , with the intention that it slowly improve the standard of their football etc. It’s the impact of c.v. and Qatar World Cup being moved to the winter (and the footballing authorities’ determination that regardless all competitions and matches must be fulfilled despite the obvious affects on player welfare and quality of matches played) which has led to these matches being played now in, and in such a condensed way, thereby making them appear to be meaningless themselves.
