So on the unthinkable happening in the next week how do you see us lining up next year?
I am sure we will lose Raphina Rodrigo and Phillips and hopefullyFirpo Roberts and Llorente maybe recouping £100m plus so need to spend wisely
GK Meslier Klaesson
FB. Ayling Drameh Hjelde.
CB Struik Cresswell Cooper Koch
Wing. Harrison James Summerville
Mid. Klich Dallas Foreshaw Bate Kenneth Mckinstry Shackleton
Forward. Bamford Gehardt Greenwood

Jan signing Joseph I have no idea on his progress.

If 49rs take over JM will remain and feel that having given him the role would need to give him a chance.

I think we need to develop the young players but prioritise Left back attacking midfield and striker.

CW - hopefully you could add Bogusz to the midfield list if he could be convinced that he’d get decent game time, as he can play CM, LM/ W, RM/ W and (crucially) CAM - and also has a cracking long range shot or direct free kick in his locker.

As for Mateo Joseph, he’s been developing well in the U18 and U23s and looks like he could possibly be moulded into a BamBam-type CF, being good with hold-up and link play, decent in the air and running the channels - but still one for the future rather than next season.

I’d agree we would need to prioritise experienced quality LB, CM/ CAM (someone like Sander Berge, who will probably be looking to leave the Blades having stayed this season for a crack at immediate return to the Prem. ) and CF.

CW, the worrying thing for me is, if u look at those players that looks a decent championship squad, and who else might think that aswell and there will be no investment.

Richie - if we go down Radz/ 49ers will get serious flack for not strengthening the squad this season - they would be very clear just how much more they would get if they failed to invest the money received for Raphinha and KP etc to ensure an immediate return. ‘Decent’ Championship squads do not gain promotion, unless they have an outstanding coach/ manager - and Marsch has a lot to do to convince me he falls into that category.

They would also know that going straight back up is the easiest way to do it, and the longer we were to stay down the more of their own money they’d need to invest to get back up - and the less they’d receive if they gave up and sold up.

I am actually more worried about the quality of the squad if we stay up… the ownership clearly want to balance the books and trust in development… and KP and Raph def going this summer… without them we are ho-hum … and we’re already struggling to stay up with them in the squad.

Remember talking if we go down. I think we almost have a strong enough team to bounce back then we would need to spend big then. We Won’t attract Prem players in the Championship Arenson is not going to play outside of top flight.
IMO We do not have a Pukki or Mitrovic. Bamford great at holding up but needs a lot of chances Greenwood is the closest IMO.

Fulham and Bournemouth straight back up. Mitrovic 43 goals, Solanke 29 goals. A Striker who can get over 20 is a big help in the Championship.

Toronto - Radz etc have always been very clear that they would invest fairly heavily again this summer - basically to upgrade on/ replace some of those from Championship squad who are now getting a little older in the tooth etc. They didn’t buy in January as players of the required quality (eg Aaronson) were not on the market at the time, and they believed (rightly or wrongly) that the U23s would provide the necessary strength in depth to see us through the rest of this season, and in doing so would have the opportunity to further develop, with the purchase of any available players, who they viewed as being of roughly similar or lesser quality potential (though currently with greater experience) would block that development both this season and next.
