So sad to see Bielsa go - the way he transformed our Club, in his approach to football, and to life in general, was truly inspiring to so many - from the players and others working at the Club, to the fanbase and city as a whole. He bound us together again - I’ve seen it written elsewhere that he put the United back into our Club.

Bielsa’s work at Leeds has been one of the few bright things in my life during a very dark period when I’ve lost my health (hopefully only temporarily) , a relationship of almost 20 years, my job, and in the last year both my Dad to Cv19 caught whilst in hospital and my Mum after a long battle with an iilness contracted through medical negligence. Faith, family, friends and Bielsa, in that order, probably kept me alive.

As I said in an earlier post, with Bielsa returning to Argentina, the football authorities and many pundits, and doubtless many other clubs and their fans now have what they most wanted after ‘Spygate’. For goodness sake (and Bielsa’s - as he truly loved this Club and we fans) , please let’s not give them what they also crave - which is reason to sing ‘Leeds are falling apart again’.

ALAW, MOT!

Just seen this Clu, never lose sight of what you’ve already had thrown at ya and admirably dealt with already!

As with all periods of our individual lives, there will be good times and more challenging times, but as sure as night follows day, good times will return Clu.

Thanks all, it’s been tough - there was plenty of other stuff I didn’t include - but I’m pulling through.

As for Leeds, Marcelo was clearly devastated that we couldn’t stick the course together, as are many fans. He clearly believed that, with a return of KP and in due course Bamford, and a fair wind in terms of refs etc, we would have stayed up and been able to take stock in the summer to decide whether the journey together could continue for another season - and he may have been right, we will never know. However, he is an intelligent guy and must surely have harboured a few doubts on further injuries, players’ morale etc. He was also a deeply humble man, and believes the Club is far bigger than him, and would want us now to move on together under the new manager to achieve safety, then move forward to challenge higher up the Prem next season.

I hope that, whatever happens at the end of the season we will as a Club to the utmost retain many of the values Bielsa helped instill, as well as the slightly maverick nature we already had but shared so richly with him.
