So who will be in the first 11 tomorrow against Fulham?

looks like Cresswell, Summerville and Greenwood from the U23s will start

hopefully Gelhardt gets game time at least 30 to 45 mins coming on for Roberts

really want to see my lad Cody Drameh get game time too.

Seems unlikely Forshaw will start, as 30 mins v Liverpool U23s is not really enough to show match fitness.

I can see Forshaw starting myself. Maybe tmhe was restricted to 30mins to save his legs for Fulham?

Maybe so Alf, but after injury Bielsa usually uses u23 games to build match fitness, and 30 minutes against a defeated Liverpool U23s would seem a very different prospect to starting v Fulham who from the off certainly won’t want to give an inch against us. Bielsa will be desperate to get Forshaw properly fit if possible, to provide another experienced option at DM, so may not wish to risk that by starting him too soon having already had this latest slight setback in his recovery.

I hope line up will be:

Meslier
Drameh Cresswell Coops Firpo
Phillips
Summerville Forshaw Rodrigo James
Gelhard

We can’t risk Center backs as we have only Ayling and Coops, others are unavailable.
Firpo should gain confidence and show us fans that he is not another flop. Although I would judge him after Christmas.
I would actually keep Phillips on the bench. Maybe O’Brian or I don’t know can Shack play there? We can’t risk KP without him we are different team.
Forshaw, if he is ready to play 45 or 60 min, to start as well. He is our “Best midfielder” can he show us why…
If he is not fit, then Dallas or Klich. Both showing little right now.
Rodrigo was good against Newcastle. Will be great if he gets some confidence as well.
James needs game time.
Summerville and Gelhard deserve their chances.
If things go south we can bring senior players to help. Against some tired legs.

I hope 3-0 at least.
