For those who may have had some concern about the U23s result last night, some further detail on the perspective I urged earlier.

Derby fielded the following team (ages in brackets) : Hamer (23) Bateman (20) Wassail (21) Forsyth (30) Brown (18) Bird (19) Dowell (22) Sibley (18) Mitchell-Lawson (20) Hectot-Ingram (21) and Bennett (23) .

We lined up with Miazek (23) Burlace (17) Strujik (20) Casey (19) Davies (19) Jenkins (18) got to (20) McInstryv (18) Stevens (19) Edmondson (18) and McCarron (18) .

Bit of a mismatch in terms of experience and physicality.

U23 is U23 - it's not a measure of how good we are or even how good the U23's are. The teams are inconsistent so ultimately the results will fluctuate.

no concerns at all. Reason we had a lot of U19s in is because players like KunT, Mcalmont, Bogusz etc. were away representing their national sides, shows the talent we have and good for the younger ones to experience the step up, even if it was a bit of an hammering.
