Brentford game going to be a tough test for us, show if we are better at dealing with the games that have a little something extra about them! Pontus returning and now the chance that Bermo will be in the crowd, albeit the wrong end! Omens not good!

We only took 1 point off them last year although their home game was really just after the stuffing had been knocked out of us!

Nice to get a win at home but I would settle for a draw in this one if it had to be. Need to deal with hopefully the only league return to Elland road of PJ and move on!

Spaniard Not bothered by Pontus return. Way we attack neutralizes his strength which is in the air. You know though he'll come up for every 🐝 corner. That's the only concern. We need to beat them, move on and forget about Pontus. Promotion to the Premier League should be our top priority, and not worrying about exes!

Should be Brentford.
If we going to win the title should be able to get 6 points of next two.
Pontus ain’t that. I’d let Eddie run at him. Bamford too slow.

Not too bothered about Pontus returning. I'll be more concerned about a Mowatt worldy later in the season!

Draws are no good Spanish a win and a loss beats 2 draws.

Yes Wex, but a draw and a win beats both. Think you'll find Spanish didn't say he'd settle for a draw v Stoke.

I'd be happier (as would we all) with two wins.

So does a win and a draw Wex! Important to stay unbeaten, important to improve the defending, too early for one result to define the season.

In my view don’t write off the Pontus effect too lightly! I’ll be glad to get this one out of the way without a loss! He’s gone and he is captain, got a lot to prove and a chance to motivate his team. He’ll either be hero or villain or perhaps both in the same game!

He’s a red card written all over him if we get eddie on early running at him in 2nd half . he will be that fired up to get a win. But he can’t cope with pace. Always liked him. He’s gone. We move on. TBH think we got better in with white.
MOT. 2-0 the mighty whites ⚽️⚽️😉👌.

Georgie point is a fair one. Batty, point is not that he has gone but that tomorrow night he is Back! Just saying, a draw isn’t he end of the world, a victory very encouraging and a defeat bad! Need to show we can deal with this kind of game!

Spanish he may be back, but he ain’t no Maldini or van dyke. May have a point to prove. But we all know. Beisla worries about what we do. Not too much on the opposition. We play well, we win. Just saying chum. I feel we will win. Not saying a draw is a bad result. As we will be unbeaten. But feel we need to beat teams like brentford at home. We average 2 points a game then we should be ok. In other words 6 points from every 3 games or 10 points from every 5 games I will be happy enough.
MOT 2-0 tomo night. Bam bam and Pablo.

I feel it is likely Pontus will score tomorrow - possibly at both ends - power header for them and sliced desperate clearance into his own net. He'll maybe then get sent off or give away a penalty (or both) fouling Costa or Eddie. Basically it'll be all about him - as it generally was when he was here.

Clueless, that’s why I think this game is a bit different with an extra dimension and it will be good to get it out of the way without a defeat. Coming to Elland road to play is motivation enough for some teams, Brentford aren’t a bad team anyway, our record against them last year wasn’t good, and Pontus returning will give them that little extra to use! Difficult game, that’s all, love us to thump them but I won’t be giving up if we don’t because I think it’s a bit of a one off!
