Program on Sky Sports 402 tonight at 10pm called “Ken Bates: The Chelsea Years” follow the story of Ken Bates Chairman of Chelsea who guided them from second division football to playing in The Premiership and winning major trophies! After that at 11pm there should be another program, “Ken Bates: The Leeds Years” where he transformed us from a Championship club into a relegated league one club with no money and with no idea who actually owns us, his greed nearly cost us our club and sold us making a massive profit leaving us nowhere and in more debt! Put that on bloody Sky and let’s see him for who he really is!

I found it bizzare that he spent all that money on those hospitality boxes in the East Stand instead of buying the ground back. I always wondered if he part owned the ground all the time but kept it under wraps.

Attended that game kly. think they may have been promoted that day . horrible atmosphere as most games were back then . seemed to spend that period watching other seemingly smaller, less deserving but almost certainly better run clubs than ours getting promoted while we floundered. remember going to stoke two years running for our usual early kick off to avoid trouble and losing 6-2 and 7-2.so it’s not quite as bad as it used to be
