All I can think is Rads appears to be doing a Bates at the moment. This is not good.
Starting to rapidly lose faith in Rads.

Leeds player sales: 9m Clarke, 3.5m BPF, Pontus 5.5m, 7m Roofe, Saiz 2.5m. Plus a few million for Wilkes, Halme etc. We've got a bjt of a war chest!

Call me an optimist, though if we end the transfer window by signing Gayle 12m, Kent 10m and a CB then that would be a great window and we'd be stronger than last season.

So who would you be happy with Chris? Prob no one is the real answer.

Gayle.

I would be very happy if we could break this run of chairmen we have had now for over a decade and a half . The definition of madness is repeating same process repetitively and expecting a DIFFERENT outcome . Seriously do you feel radz is any diff to GFH or Mass? . Is been 15 year now since we crashed are you not feeling we deserve better? . That's almost 2 generation of kids who haven't seen a Premiership home game that for me is real bad .

Chris Insinuating that Radz is possibly like GFH is beyond ridiculousness and outrageous. Radz is the best Chairman we've had since Leslie Silver.

best of a bad lot, we are where we are and that ain't changing, Good will at beginning of season amounts to nothing come end of it . When here we are again stuck in Limbo, obviously you must be happy with the current status quo, but myself and a good few others on here would hope for better from the man who controls the money.

Chris

Great rant. Totally followed your logic. And every poster on here deserves to be read at least

However. I am with George. Your fixation on the chairman is mildly uncomfortable and as he hasn't been with the club all those 15 years you speak of I can't see how he is to blame for the lack of premiership football

Last pre-season he was chastised for bringing in a foreign coach who "knows nothing of how to get out of the Championship". Can I remind you that we have had our best finish in those 15 years you mentioned.

Also last pre-season he was howled at as he sold our best young midfielder to a foreign giant and kept Klich. Now we have the best midfield in the division with every member of it worth more than Viera.

axe_on_tour Are you seriously trying to tell us that there is some logic in selling your best central defender, seemingly our best forward Roofe (both unlikely to be replaced) for fairly poor money in the case of Pontus having a similarly small squad then last season and expecting better results.

Chris x2, Not sure what you are talking about. I am with George and Axe, Radz is bar far the best Chairman we have had in years. Yes I would like a chairman to bring in Neymar and Bale, but it ain’t going to happen, but last year was the best year we have had in terms of performances and results for a long time, and that starts at the top.
Selling Pontus had to happen if he was a bad apple, no matter how good, club comes first! If we land Gayle, Kent and perhaps another CB, will Radz then become a legend?
Cockerney, I would say, if Roofe goes and Gayle comes in, that’s a result!

cheers axe and great to read your post also pal in which your points are clearly made, on radz, my. fixation on him is two fold, firstly as we all know on here he's the boss, so as we all know how it works ultimately its the boss who controls the cash . Radz is the man who could have changed all this last January axe, had he just released the cash to buy some additions to squad chances are we wouldn't be talking about the championship season now.
Leeds were i think the first team that were top xmas day that didn't go up in 12 seasons i think .

We had the. top scorer in the championship in our hands (Vydra ) and we let him go to buy Bamford . The mind boggles .
Secondly indeed Radz has not been here throughout all our rubbish last 15 but that fact don't change, the fact we have been here and really a lot of us feel like its time enough to move on, and as i said that only happens, by buying players like Vydra and not Jay Roy + Caleb (no disrespect ) but their not good enough as we have seen time + again.

Anyways i on the del boys here in spain currently and am looking forward to game tomorrow
After all fundamentally we all want same thing LUFC back in big time, cheers pal.

With GEORGE on this one Radz probably the best we have had for a long time, but does not mean he much good. Bubs is the one doing the business Cellino for all his faults would have put his money in last Jan and gone for it.

Cockney he wasn’t our best defender as stats prove, look at his behaviour today? I have a 5 yr old who acts better than janson.

Cockney

I agree that Pontus was our best defender last year. Being the tallest, with the most weight, and actually quite fast, he played well for us. However I think Cooper wasnt far behind. And I thought I watched centre backs from other less prominent teams play equally as well as Pontus.
I wished we had received more money for him, but life is what it is

As for Roofe, I have always admired his football. He works hard. He thinks about the game. He is versatile. But.

I sincerely believe that any Championship level striker would have scored the same number of goals from the number of chances Leeds created last year. In a nutshell, he can be replaced, and £7m is a good amount for a Championship level player in his final year.

I also would have liked to have seen Vydra at Leeds, but it wasnt to be

I think Leeds are hoping to spend less, on a few players, and find a Vydra in the making

That's were we sit in the financial status.

Re: Vydra.

It was Bielsa who pulled pin. Vydra was in Leeds and Radz was reading to 'splash the cash' but when asked in an interview about his football Vydra said staying in the Championship was 'ok', but he believed he should be playing for a Premier League team. Bielsa decided he wasn't commited enough so pulled pin.

Also. Radz may not be the richest (personally I think he's done a good job) but he did buy Elland Road back, has brought in El Loco and has invested in Youth. way better than anyone in recent years. ALAW MOT.

Correct he did buy E. R back but LUFC still don't own it, Radz does privately albeit some holding company prob based in a attic on the Cayman Islands.
