Probably a goalkeeper that Brian will pick to play on the wing

Surely you mean nick Townsend the goalkeeper? Isn't a Luke Townsend at Leeds

I've seen videos of him. He's not the tallest but he's a pacey, skillfull little player that could be what we need in the championship.

Leicester, Cardiff, Derby and Newcastle are all after Ross McCormack this summer. Accordingly to reports, we're looking for £10 million; double what we wanted in January.

Can not see Ross going to another Championship side!
However if a couple of prem teams start a bidding war this could push the price up, as M C knows are squad needs major work hence the two year plan .

The difference is that we needed the money in january

Ross will leave for about 7.5 to 8 mill. I imagine Newcastle will be destination as I'm sure they'll pay him 40k a week.

AGREE Ross will only leave for the premiership and if someone offered £10mill i'd jump in the car and drive him ALL THE WAY.
Hes a good player but i'm afraid he's NOT premiership standard lads ;)

Surely if he's worth that much MC will think he has one top class striker to build his team bound and save himself 10 million on buying another striker to build a team around round. Ross doesn't want to leave, 99% of fans don't want him to leave so let's use him as the nucleus of our building program to achieve a top class side to take us back to where we belong.

RM not going anywhere, as stated many times, he doesn't want to leave and Massimo doesn't need to sell

Love ross he is the only footballer at ER but 10 million is a great price and would snap that up, if the money goes back in squad and is spent by the right manager. the right manager could buy half a championship winning squad with 10 mill and we need at least nine good/very good players if we are to go up

In my opinion RM will wait to see how we rebuild the squad. If there is no sign of spending and a upgrade of the squad he will move. It's down to Cellino purse strings to see if he stays. I also think his purse strings are not as big as people are hoping but probably better than what we've had so far!

McCormack did not say he would not leave, he said he would not ask, that is very different

Luv Ross but I'd snap their hands off for £10M!

10 million could get us 4 very good championship players which is what we need and makes very good buisness sense no matter how good Ross is we have to look at the bigger picture which is the premiership and we have more chance with 4 good players then just 1

Edfiegrayisking you are right that RM said he would never ask to leave but in the same interview I saw him in he said he would love to see his career out with leeds

Makes sense to see where can save money. MC has a lot of experience running a club so to me this seems fair enough as we need to slim down if we losing £1m a month.
At least he is a football man and not some accountant or general business man who doesn't know football, MC does so I trust him on this and good to see him trying to sort club out

Like u say, he's a football man, knows how things should run, MC deserves the chance to get us financially back on track.

It also got mentioned that we might be moving out up to 70 staff. Could this 'cost saving' and 'essential maintenance' just be a form of gardening leave? Get all the staff out of the facilities until you tell them who is getting the axe?
To be fair though it could just be for maintenance, the bit where the players are on holiday is probably as good as any to do it, right?

I would imagine that he is looking at the losses in relation to the fair play rules where clubs are meant to break even!
As the F L will watching M C like a hawk and one little thing out of line and the F L will take great pleasure in highlighting this and doing the I told you so routine.
I'm impressed that so far he has not been a bull in a china shop, change has to come as a club we have no choice, you all know how much they love to punish Leeds.

Like I said 8 weeks ago I got told from a good source 15 staff and 7 players would not be retained by LUFC.

At last someone looking seriously at how the club is run and not how to make it attractive to sell on (to anybody)
