close sources have hinted tomorrow there will be an 'interesting' announcement he knows someone in the bbc who have quoted this - was on bbc website but got removed - i trust this guy and consequently beleive what he says, takeover is now imminent.

Were all in the same boat of not knowing the real truth and can only speculate. Lets hope this announcement sheds some light.

Leeds forever,
mot12

Believable23 Unbelievable25

Interesting by BBC could mean bad cos they hate us

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see it.. Mr Bates is like Yorkshire bank, In that he works Monday to Friday 9.00 till 4.30 - You never get a post on a Sunday on the OS - so if there is any announcements I'd imagine we'd have to wait till Monday at the earliest

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the poster means there may be a report on the bbc as it was removed originally off there!! Only time will tell...MOT leeds till I die!

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard yesterday that it was on the talk sport site that Warnock had quit i looked but couldnt see anything could this be linked? i hope to hell he hasnt cos as it is at the moment i think he is the only man who can take the team forwards.

Agree0 Disagree0

You cant be seriouse nothing ever gets said on a sunday

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here - most likely to be Monday, forgot how 'stressing' bates's life is - lets just hope, I'll try get more information. Cheer lads, mot12

we have been given hope by bates that there would be investment, so far I have seen 1 player come in when I would of expected 3 to be in by now. Bates is a liar and doesn't care for leeds, like he said in the 80's he wants leeds removed from the premier league.

Believable13 Unbelievable19

Ermmmmm ermmmm i beg to differ but we was removed a fair few years ago

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think you know what your talking about to be honest

Agree0 Disagree0

Unnecessary and unoriginal sticking in of boot on Bates yet again -not what we need right now. Pros and cons of his regime (and there have been both) have been rehearsed ad infinitum by now. Let's try and move forward now -with fingers crossed, hopefully imminent news might help us with this process. And if what we're hoping for doesn't come off, let's at least try and move the quality of the debate up a level. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

The NDA and self imposed transfer embargo during negotiations means there will be nothing happening both incoming and outgoing until a deal a is concluded

Agree0 Disagree0

Might be me just being pedantic but there was no Premier League in the 80's...

Dazz

Agree0 Disagree0

How can bates say that he wanted leeds removed from premier league in the 80s the premier league didnt get brought in till 92/93 season leeds won the old first divison the last ever season 91/92 thats fact not bull u make up and i am to belive that there was money 4 NW but bates with drew it as he is selling up

Agree0 Disagree0

^^^^ that made me laugh to the point i p*ssed my self

Just come back off a holiday from portugal, at faro airport and jason pearce was with luke varney. I went over to Jason and wished him good luck and got a handshake. I asked if we were getting Luke Varney when he went and Jason said Leeds have shown interest but doesn't know.

Believable28 Unbelievable18

He just tweeted from pub down in porstmouth to halford about meetingup tonight

Agree0 Disagree0

Both lying coz Pearce has just moved up north

Agree0 Disagree0

Time to stop speculating, hoping and wishing and join a consolidated effort to get Bates Gone..please?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ridsdale got Venables in at leeds with promises of cash for players, Bates has got warnock in and no cash to spend for players sounds similar, both con men. Lets hope someone comes in and rescues us soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not lying mate was about 10:00am at faro would give him plenty of time to go out tonight, doubt you would recognise pearce anyway as you don't seem to know what your talking about either. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Origional poster honestly are hoping for luke varney homestly 68 goalsls in 288 games get a grip we better off keeping paynter milky

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems to be about time for a concerted Bates Out Movement. Is and always will be a cantankarous old man.Who needs a Monacon leech and his hangers on? This guy frightens away true supporters and not only that but
the very people who can and would like to invest in our future. He frightens the hell out of any sane person.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the supposed investment doesnt come off then i second the "concerted Bates out" proposal. If people stop coming to ER, income dries up and he will drop us like a hot brick. BATES OUT

this is my horoscope for this week from the main man Mr Jonathan Cainer - and for info me and Neil Warnock were born on the SAME day Dec 1st - looks good for me & Neil and hopefully all leeds fans ......MOT

Well, here we are at last. The moment you have been waiting for. The week you have been anticipating for months, even years. Perhaps you didn't know that you were biding time and holding out till Jupiter arrived in your opposite sign. Maybe you just had a vague sense of the possibility of imminent improvement. But once things begin to change for the better, as they will start to do this very week, you will see that you have at last reached a turning point in your fortunes.

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Lol horoscopes! ive heard it all now. Ill consult the runes to see if the future can indeed be foretold by the likes of Russell Grant el al... you'll likely just find 50p stood at a bus stop, hence "change for the better"
Desperate times indeed

Agree0 Disagree0

Clutching at straws now mate. Lets just wait and see what happens.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets now forget about speculating on who we want.need.like and concetrate on getting shot of Bates, otherwise we are going nowhere...

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny that as myself and bates share a birthday (dec. 4th) and low and behold we are all the same starsign, fingers crossed eh!

Hi every1 i believe bates and co were waiting for warnock to come back from his hols so he can be present at the press confrence which i have on good authority will be this week

Believable25 Unbelievable17

Hope you are right all this not knowing where we stand is getting a bit painful.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree but my source has never let me down yet we just need a few ts crossed n then we will hear this week

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so!
Might even go to church tomorrow and pray coz we all know God supports us.
JB

Agree0 Disagree0

This has been said a few times now. not sure how much longer i can keep hoping

Evo

Agree0 Disagree0

This week?

so we have tomorrow left then for the press conference.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely warnock would cut his holiday short for such important news? cant see bates and co sat twiddleling thumbs waiting for neil to come back from the beach!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope your correct pal killing me all this guessing and speculation

Looking forward to some good derby matches next season Owls, Udders,Barnsley and now that Bruce is at Hull it should add a bit of spice to it, would be better for home games though if the away fans where back in the south/S E corner, not only is it a better atmosphere the away supporters don't have to pay ridiculous ticket prices to get in.I'm sure if we keep charging Top price for away fans then I can see other clubs doing the same to us.

Believable13 Unbelievable6

Totaly agree with you about away fans atmosphere at home games was rubbish last seaon i like to see and hear the away fans so we can shout them down but bates cant seem to grasp that by charging top dollar for everything gates are down

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I'm not. Having so many northern derbies will just make it even harder to get out of this league -we'll be everyone's cup final, even more so than previously. Methinks 2010-11 (the season of Gradel, Howson, pre-injury Becchio...heady days!) is looking more and more like a golden missed opportunity than ever! Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Well we have to pay top prices when we go away

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with 2nd response, all these teams are gonna up their game for Leeds as its there big game. Plus, if this takeover roundabout doesn't materialize soon then I fear for us next year! All the uncertainty is not gd n even our players are now apparently voicing their concern!

Lets hope...

Scot MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed. Moving them has had a real negative effect on the atmoshpere

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree that its better atmosphere with away fans in south stand, however as a regular away supporter think that we should charge high price because 9 times out of 10 thats what happens to us

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds fans will always pay top prices because of the amout of suppoters we have at every match

Neil Warnock could resign if he is not given the required funds as he is furious that none of his targets were signed while he was on holiday. There are problems with the players as they don't really know who will be staying or leaving. Norwich & Everyone in for Snoddy and West Ham want McCormack. This may not be 100% true but still, things don't look good.

Believable22 Unbelievable29

NW isnt going to come to Leeds without guarantees of investment, looks like Bates up to his old lying tricks again! Wouldnt blame NW if he left!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he be furious? He was on holiday and he signs players with Bates and Harvey. If he is on holiday, then obviously no-one is going to be signed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock went on holiday and left bates and harvey to bring in the targets he wanted . harvey sorts out the contract and bates signs it off . bates is a tw*t . warnock as no say what so ever in the contract deal

Agree0 Disagree0

Gold star award for the most ill informed rumour of the year.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the last poster no player signs for a club without chatting to the manager to see what the manager has in store for them at the club yes harvey and co sort the contract out but warnock actually chats to the player first
milky

Agree0 Disagree0

What else did your pal Neil tell you then when he told you that he was "furious?" Hmmm.....

Agree0 Disagree0

All this inside information? One thing is for certain, NW is a true professional, and will conduct all affairs relating to his management of our club in just that way. Let's stop the slag off Bates, viscious anti Leeds rumours, and get behind the Club with Bates or without!

Slingsby White

Agree0 Disagree0

When was the last time anything looked good at er things will only change when bates as gone

Agree0 Disagree0

Just becarefull what u wish for i would rather have bates tha hicks and gillett or somone like them 2 come on u leeds

New Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is set to make a move for Leeds' Scotland star Robert Snodgrass

Source - DailyRecord.co.uk On the Sky Sports website

Believable34 Unbelievable11

Well this should get another court case paid for then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well done Bates, running around the courts while LUFC falls!
Its beginning to look doubtful any investment is going to happen, Bates gonna run us into the ground, with his corporate facilities watching league 1 standard football.
RIP Leeds, may start supporting Garforth Town least you know where you stand.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope So....We might have some cash then for new players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely if Bates wants to make money off Leeds, the last thing he'll want is relegation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates as run the club for all the years he as been here off the remainder of the money we had left from the sale of the stadium and has no intention of investing his own money as he is ready for retiring from football all together and sees it as too high a risk

Agree0 Disagree0

Villa prepared to pay £6-8 million for Snoddy ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course Paul Lambert wants Snodgress. Bate's may aswell tried to sign lambert instead of letting lambert pilfer all of our talent. Bates Out.... In Warnock we trust

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't believe this myself but to the point where I didn't want to post it on here due to the feedback I'd get, but I heard from a very, very good source that Lambert actually applied for the Leeds job when Grayson went.

Barely believable I know, but supposedly he was very unhappy at Norwich, stemming from the board at Carrow Road rejecting an approach for him in the 2010/11 close season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would bates spend 7 years building Leeds united back up to let it fail that would be a waste of time money and effort we know how stingy he is so why would he want us to go back down to league 1 he wod loose alot mone money when/if we get taken over

Agree0 Disagree0

Good £4million for an average player is well worth it

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm new to this so I don't know if
anyone has mention this but with
The amount of players released or
Put on the transfer list there should
Be plenty of wage funds released to
Really competative in the free transfer
Market. So why do all the bosman
Type targets seem to be slipping through
Our fingers. It must mean we have
A transfer embargo on at the minute
So after the takeover I think the funds
Will be there and things should shape
Up its just a waiting game.
MOT

Believable25 Unbelievable12

Or is it just Ken Bates wont pay the wages these players are asking for

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh i know but howm long are we supposed to wait untill the transfew window closes untill warnock walks
milky

Agree0 Disagree0

The wage funds will be paying bates legal fees

Agree0 Disagree0

Because they need to get rid of all the dead wood/transfer listed players first in order to release the wages to use on other targets. But knowing the low wage structure that Leeds seems to have in place then that won't generate too much anyway!

Agree0 Disagree0

And the Takeover could all be a dream knowing KB....Dont presume.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish everyone would stop jumping the gun and just wait. Chill out. Whatever we say won't change the reality of the situation, which we don't even know anyway. The best thing to do is support the team. That's what being a fan is all about.

Agree0 Disagree0

We will know whats happening by monday afternoon . if there is investment /takeover happening then warnock will still be with us otherwise he will resign .

Agree0 Disagree0

Every agent is at the European Cup, haven't you noticed there's been hardly any signings since the close of the season.

Leeds, burnley, palace and boro all intrested in signing donny utility man george friend

Believable6 Unbelievable20

Count leeds out we won:t be able to match wages of other clubs

Agree0 Disagree0

I used to watch George Friend down here in Exeter before Wolves signed him. if im perfectly honest, there are better defenders out there to sign than George Friend, Connolly is as good as Friend, and we all know how shocking he is!

{Ed013's Note - To the person that is hassling me over the Bryan Robson comment and comparing what I said (which was a fact) to the Munich plane crash and the death of Gary Speed, get a life and grow up. How you can compare the loss of many lives and a loss of life of a true Leeds legend to someone that had a well known drink problem and is still living to tell the story I will never know. You are either a rival fan or don't fully understand what you are talking about}

Believable32 Unbelievable6

Hi, totally behind you Ed013.
I do not envy you for one minute, with the ignorance that you must have to deal with on a daily basis.

Leeds apparently trying to tie up a deal for David Norris, although they are said to have hit the same issue they had with the Joel Ward deal, a lack of upfront cash, Warnock will not be happy with this!

Source- YEP

Believable29 Unbelievable10

Begs the question why are we making enquiries for players when allegedly we cant pay for them?
Maybe Bates think they will all see the training facilities and come for free? We are Leeds after all.
Surely this policy is just costing the club more money in expenses bringing them to look around, have medicals etc?
Looks like if the investment doesnt materialise we will raise some transfer cash by selling White, Mccormack, Clayton & Snodgrass... not want Neil wants to do in the ideal world.

Agree0 Disagree0

Completely agree, why are we trying to do deals that we cant complete, like you say a waste of admin money and time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish.... as usuall ward went to cp for personal reasons get over it

Agree0 Disagree0

Making enquiries don't cost anything. If a player comes to look round the club we don't pay for their fuel costs. They also don't have medicals until the deal is in place.

Everyone is way too cynical here. Why bother 'supporting' the team, if no-one is pleased no matter what the club does. We'll just end up like the Liverpool fans - spoilt, with some kind of expectation that we should be the best because of our history. Just be supportive, and we will achieve far more than if we are negative. When fans behave like this, I can't imagine the players having a nice time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Joel Ward chose to go to crystal palace as his girlfriend has all her family down south and didnt want to go north, we offered him 2k a week more than palace, so money wasnt the issue.

LJHS

Agree0 Disagree0

We are pleased when the club actually does something good but there been too quiet and if this takeover or investment doesn't happen or no money is pumped into the squad then i only see more protests in and around the stadium and thats at least .we may even see big riots this season coming .there is nothing to be supportive about ,even the players are down in the dumps

Agree0 Disagree0

Think Norris wants to stay down south (family are settled) so doubt he'd go to leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Im the OP

What are some off you talking about "when fans behave like this, what must the players think" and "your way to cynical"

All I have done is write what the YEP has reported, for those that may not look on their website.

Sort yourselves out and stop jumping down everyones throats the minute you see something you dont like!

robbie rogers will play a very important part in the team next season. I reckon he will be a regular.

Believable36 Unbelievable13

Robbie is a talented guy shame he picked up 3 injuries last season hopefully he reports back injury free and a full pre season he can be a vital part in the cog M.O.T milky

Agree0 Disagree0

Cos there will be no one else left probably....TS

Agree0 Disagree0

He will have a choice where he plays because we will have no one left of intrest.

Agree0 Disagree0

Robbie Rogers might be the only player we have next season so at this juncture I would agree that he will be a regular :( ....But look at the big 'if'.... NW has yet to get any of his chosen selection onboard and if he does ? is there gonna be any room for Rogers with a permanent slot ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rogers can play all over in midfield and upfront so hes a good player to have

Agree0 Disagree0

Next seasons line up:
Tom Lees
Robbie Rogers

What do you think?
JB

Agree0 Disagree0

Really?! Don't want to be down on the guy, especially as he hasn't had much of a look-in, but I personally find it unlikely. Check out the vids -reckon will (like Nunez and Grella before him) sadly prove too lightweight and specialised for this league. Hope I'm wrong, but thought it was a typically odd signing by Grayson at the time -didn't seem to be at all what we needed at the time, and not sure he is now. As I said, hope I'm wrong, and wish the guy luck (but I've seen enough players come and go at ER over the years to be able to spot those who'll flourish here I reckon). Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

In response to JB - i think that line up has a nice balance. Lees can play anywhere across back four and Rogers midfield and up front. Fingers crossed they both avoid injuries.

Agree0 Disagree0

I watched a few vids of rogers online and tbh the lad can play abit. ive read the rumors concerning freddie adu a imo if we could get him, he and rogers would be great together as adu like rogers can play on either wing or upfront. (wot do u think ed?)
Bates out.........in Warnock we trust
