Dom matteo has confirmed on yorkshire radio that he has not been approached for the Leeds united job but would jump at the opputunity and also love to work for the club in any role

Believable20 Unbelievable4

Dom played for a number of clubs but yet he came back to us when he finished playing. Think outside the box GFH, we need desire and a love of Leeds United.

Dom matteo never wanted to leave in the first place he said him self he was desperate to stay and said he would take a wage cut but they still refused and said we can't afford you

Agree1 Disagree0

It seems to me that there is probably some confusion in the press, because Dominic Matteo (or "D. Matteo") is among the favourites for the Leeds job, although he is effectively a journalist with no managerial experience. The ex-Chelsea Di Matteo has short odds at the moment, but I'd be surprised if he would consider coming to Leeds, unless the club is nearer another sale than we think, and he has been promised money - but hey! I'm a Leeds supporter, and the news couldn't be that good, could it?

GFH have being holding talks with Bolton over their manager Dougie Freedman, they have being watching his management skills in the last few games as they continue their push for the playoffs.

Believable2 Unbelievable61

And what makes you think that GFH know anything about football

Agree0 Disagree0

And why would a team pushing for promotion let their manager go?

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute rubbish. Why would Dougie leave Bolton.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Apr 2013 09:10:02
you say why would he leave bolton, he left palace and they were in the top 6 and bolton were in the bottom half.
leeds are a bigger club than bolton. I think dougie would be the best manager for leeds he's done very well and he's still young

Agree0 Disagree0

Bolton are in a lot of debt which is now held by their owner.
If they don't get to the Premier League, this season, you can bet there won't be very much cash to spend and a lot of players leaving.

had a dream last night gfh announce a press conf and announced they had found an investor to take over the club then in walks bill gates owner of microsoft! he chairs the press conf and states gfh will walk away with immediate effect and he has bought elland rd and thorpe arch and returned them to leeds united and the buy out is not a loan and bought for the club he then states ken bates will not become the honoury life president and has no more ties to the club. gates then announces that the new president is howard wilkinson. also shaun harvey has left the club and is replaced by trevor birch, peter lorimer will also be removed and replaced by dom matteo! he then annouces our new manager as gus poyet with gary mac as his assistant and lucas radabe as leeds world ambassador the club will have a five year plan to get back to the top and champs league and money is not an option! { he does have a wealth of £14 billion} then I woke up now that would be a dream team! then in paper next day warnock hits back moaning that another of his team will be ripped apart

Agree1 Disagree1

A few hours ago you wrote batty and Matteo to be next in charge, now you say fowler, you must enjoy writing c--p

Agree0 Disagree0

If we hadnt of signed him and paid all that money to him in wages we probably still would be.
karl lincs

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would fowler buy us? We're probably still paying him wages!

Agree1 Disagree0

Sounds good to me

Agree0 Disagree0

He can pay the debt off with the money we are giving him each month. Seth is going 50/50

roberto di matteo to be confirmed as next lufc manager

Believable33 Unbelievable50

Ask yourself this question. Why would you want to manage LUFC and there lies your answer to this rumour. ain't going to happen!

Agree0 Disagree0

When and why would he come to leeds he only won the champions league under a year ago

Agree0 Disagree0

It's true the odds on di Matteo have shortened a lot over the past few days but I honestly think that it's because a load of coulees people are hearing strong rumours of Dom Matteo and getting confussed and betting on di Matteo. So although the odds come down it doesn't mean it's any more likely.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love to see it but not going to happen. Too big of a step down I'm afraid. He will go to another premiership club such as Everton or even go abroad to the spanish league or Bundesliga.

Agree0 Disagree0

He would want to come to lufc because its a massive club and he is out of work this is to the above post

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes he won the champions league but why then has he to been snapped up by a premiership club before now?

Agree0 Disagree0

In response to the person who said that Di Matteo would come to LUFC because we are a massive club: Saying we are a massive club is nothing more than a morale booster and I'm afraid we need to get real.

Of course it a matter of perception, but what makes a massive club? While we have a wide fan base and great fans, our attendances are rapidly declining. Due to our catchment area and being the only club in the city we can consider ourselves a sleeping giant at best. Also our stadium is in most parts outdated and we haven't won a major title for over two decades, one of which we have been plying our trade outside the top division. We are currently owned by a group of businessmen who have no capital to invest and know nothing about football and show no desire to engage with the fans to make this club the life and blood of the city.

Im sorry to be so negative but for us to become the massive club we once were and have the potential to be then drastic changes are needed, not just in terms of a new manager but the whole club needs restructuring.

Agree0 Disagree0

No mistake with odds shortening, now the favourite at 5/2. That many people wouldn't make the mistake between Di Matteo and Dom

Saw David Batty at ER, him and Matteo want to save Leeds United and take over as manager and assitant. MOT

Believable13 Unbelievable74

Would love to see D. Batty back in the game. Not sure this rumour has any legs tho.

Agree1 Disagree0

Batty didn't really like football when he was a player, not likely to become a manager, I don't think.

Agree2 Disagree0

Batty had little interest in football as a player, so management is a no-go. From all accounts he prefers the quiet life Whitby way - and good luck to him.

Matteo is shortly to become a father so I'd imagine taking charge of LUFC and all the associated stress would not appeal to him one bit.

Agree0 Disagree0

Batty save LUFC, don't make me laugh. He was the one who rejected the clubs offer to defer wages until the end of the season when the were in the brown stuff. He led a revolution that would have crippled the club! That's why he never played another game for Leeds
If he wanted to come back its only because he was skint

Agree0 Disagree0

Matteo will be involved at Thorpe Arch next season, but not as manager. Still doing is badges as he still only at level 2

Agree0 Disagree0

David Batty has no interest in managing Leeds. He has very little interest in football and quite happy with his present lifestyle. Why would he heap the pressures and stresses of football management upon himself? Also, does he have the relevant qualifications?

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds will not appoint a new manager till end of season, no one wants this job at the moment its career suicide, imagine someone comes in for last 5 games we get relegated I think his position would become untenable, who ever takes it will wait to see what division were in first.

Believable57 Unbelievable11

I think a manager coming in now will be able to have a proper look at his team and decide who he wants to keep or let go though. So its a tough one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds will get a new manager before the end of the season we will not get relegated we need one more win to be sure to stay up three home games and two away I think we will beat Wednesday and Birminham and loose to Watford and Brighton. In summer get rid of the crap and with backing get decent players in, this is the stumbling block with the muppets that are in charge of us we all thought it was bad with Bates but these lot have took it to a different level

Agree0 Disagree0

Bang on, at last someone talking sence

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you really think the crap will go in the summer when the biggest pile of crap that has ever played for us has been given another year #joke

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see leeds getting sum 1 like matteo as they won't have to pay him a lot of money. we need to get sum 1 b4 end of season who can decide wich rubbish to get rid ov.

Agree0 Disagree0

We won't be relegated

Agree0 Disagree0

Has anyone heard the story about Phil Parkinson coming to us. wouldn't be my choice but would be interesting to know if its vaguely true. Hope not.

Odds really shortening on Matteo and Allardyce. Not really a rumour just an unlikely punt. Matteo to come in relatively soon but to manage the team for the remainder of the season but then be Allardyces number 2.

Believable5 Unbelievable43

I understand that Allardyce's contract with West Ham ends this summer and he has not been offered a new one yet, so I guess there is a chance that he may be looking for a new job

Agree0 Disagree0

Alladyce. Is in talks on a new contract it was on radio station end of last week you know the station that just chats athletics ( that's as good as a clue I could give without namimpng names ) hi ed hope I've not infringed on naming if so soz mate
