Looking at our performances overall this season it looks clear that we have exceeded what normally would be expected. Most of the games we have won we could have easily drawn or lost.
In view of this I think out of the three most likely outcomes us finishing in the top six and losing in the play-offs is the most likely. This is mainly due to the other top clubs playing each other and dropping points whilst we have our points buffer and not because I think we are going to amass many more points this season. The second most likely option is we finish seventh.
Disappointing but, given I don't think we will win the play-offs, I would be £89 better off and not having the usual disappointment of travelling hundreds of miles and paying for the privilege of losing in the finals - something I have had to do without exception since the 1970's.
The third most likely outcome is we stay in the top six and win at Wembley. This is the best outcome of all but the most unlikely. Interesting to see how we get on against Preston tomorrow. They have hit a bit of form and if they score we will struggle to get the points.

Just don't go. You clearly don't bring the lads much luck in playoff finals anyway!
