would like to congratulate jonny howson on his first goal in the premier league. i believe he is young enough to have stayed with leeds and become a premiership player with leeds and become a real legend. wish him the best whatever he does

Nonsense. it's disgusting. "he was leeds" and wouldn't sign a new contract with Leeds because he didn't think we'd go up. says it all really. money rules the day again!

His reasoning was he wanted to be a premier league player as soon as possible. i think he should have waited for a year or 2 and got promoted with leeds. you cant hate every player that leaves leeds for better things (better things for now, not long term)

Howson 'is Leeds through and through' but the truth of the matter is he had his head turned by Norwich because they are in the premiership now and in my opinion he has left a bitter taste in my mouth because he is a captain that has abandoned the ship rather than staying loyal and staying to finish the job

His interview when he left made no sense, he said he left because he wants to play premiership football and the next qu was if he thought Leeds would get promoted this season and he said yes. If he thought that why would he leave for premiership football. He left, leaving us light in midfield and struggling to field a decent side

He didnt leave, they sold him because he wouldnt accept the peanuts deal he was offered which was less than AOB's wages!! Most of the squad that were with us from league 1 never got a wage rise, remember johnson, kilkenny & gradel anyone? I was glad to see him get his first prem goal and yes i did wish it was for us but its in the past now i just hope now weve got a manager that is experienced in contract negotiations and that is not scared of being sacked that these situations will be resolved long before the players contracts run out
