I do hope this is a wind up as i'm getting sick of hearing about KB not funding players wages..!

Agree0 Disagree0

Contract negotiations are all part of the business. No need to hype this and cause panic. I am sure Leeds will present a better offer and then its up to Aidy to decide

Agree0 Disagree0

Your talking rubbish ur just wind fans up aidy is stilll in talks, get a new hobby

Agree0 Disagree0

This will almost certainly be true.

Ken Bates believes that all players are overpaid and if you look at Leeds' expenditure on wages, it genuinely is one of the lowest in the Championship.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with respondents 2 & 3. Contract negotiations are usually a prolonged cat and mouse game with offers and counter offers. So Aidy hasn't accepted the very first offer! Shock horror! Ultimately KB if nothing else is a business man and knows that for the sake of 3/4k a week its not worth letting White go- a 20 year old homegrown asset, who he could sell for 1mill+ on the open market. Aidy i think wants to stay. Its just a matter of agreeing a deal appropriate for all parties.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds actually have top 5 wages in the championship. straight from ken bates mouth when interviewd on television not that long back, so your theory is bullspit. aidy has said he wants to sign and negotiations are ongoing... stop posting sh!t to try rile fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

You actually believe what Bates says? Don't be stupid, he's a liar and a thief.

Leeds pay poor wages for the Championship. Why do you think, for example, we lost players such as Johnson and Kilkenny? Essentially, Bristol City offered Killa more money than we could.

If we were top payers, we'd attract top talent.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the above. Yeah if were top payers we'd attract top players? We didn't offer Kilkenny and Johnson top pay because they were and are no where near top players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Johnson's now on the verge of the England squad, scored our goal of the season last year, and is now an established Premiership player. He is, and was, quality. Not the prettiest, but if you know anything about football, you'd also recognise this.

Agree0 Disagree0

This summer we'll lose 2 more of our best players in White and Howson and next summer Clayton and Snodgrass will follow - if not before.

Do your reading - Leeds are low payers in the Championship and don't offer wages that are competitive. Look around - no other clubs have the chronic problems in retaining players that we do, and its badly damaging the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

As far as i heard it was everton who are interested in him.

Agree0 Disagree0

This post is all bulls**t. Just an anti-Bates protester stirring trouble; a well known poster on the LUFC forums.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't understand some Leeds fans. Look at the FACTS and unite against Bates.

FACT - every year, we lose key players who we are unable to tie to longer contracts because we DO NOT PAY COMPETITIVELY. Examples - Gradel (sold because was refusing new deal), Beckford, Johnson, Kilkenny, Schmiechel (same situation as Gradel).

FACT - Exactly the same situation will occur with Howson and White this year. It is very clear we are not good payers.

FACT - UEFA recommend 40-60% of clubs turnover be spent on player wages. Leeds spend approx 28%. The money is spent instead on building hospitality on a stadium we don't own, we can't fill and many Leeds fans can't afford.

FACT - The club has no assets. We don't own our training ground or our stadium. Instead, we've been improving a stadium that isn't ours, thus increasing any eventual buy back price. Lunacy.

FACT - We've taken over £10m from the sales of Delph, Gradel & Schmiechel. This money hasn't been re-invested in the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

FACT- Boring boring boring.

I know nothing of Leeds pay structureand make no clam to the otherwise. I would guess that half the trouble we have is down to the quality of the players we possess as opposed to issues with wages. White, Howson, Snodgrss, Clayton are all basically too good to be at this level. All the money thrown at them in the world isn't going to change the fact that we are in the Championship and not the premiership and that is where players want to be. Look at Johnson, no where near as much talent as the others mentioned yet half a year in the prem and he's rumoured to be getting a look in for England. Quite simply play in the prem and doors open for you that don't in the championship. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the issue with White may be down to length of contract/release clause or similar. Forget wages, if we get promotion we will be able to attract players and keep player more than we ever will by throwing money at them in the championship.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thing is - if we've got such quality players, and aren't achieving promotion, you've got to question the management. Something clearly in't right.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fact - we have improved every year for last 3 seasons giv it a rest or do one!!

Agree0 Disagree0

FACT - lonners better than kasper, clayton as good as delph and gradel didnt want to play for us anymore so what is your actual point mate?

Agree0 Disagree0

FACT here - point is, at the current rate, we'll never buy our stadium back and unless we bring in a few new faces we're not going up, and this year, we will lose Snoddy, Howson, Clayton, White.

Agree0 Disagree0

FACT - just because you type fact in capital letters doesn't make it a fact :)

Agree0 Disagree0

CONJECTURE - makes a change from all these FACTS

Agree0 Disagree0

Though I cannot reveal my sources, I have seen a pay statement of a certain Max Gradel, whilst he was a Leeds player.
I can assure you now that it was eye wateringly high. and he stated that he was on a lower wage than those around him.
FACT: We pay well for this league as I have seen the proof.
Whilst some pay higher (Leicester) it is hardly helping them.
We all moaned at the implosion of the Ridsdale era, I for one welcome players who want to play for the club and a chairman who will ensure this never happens again to us.
