warnock has told the new owners he wants to sign thomas, a left back, tonge and gary hooper

Hooper would be the marque signing to show ambition and I think he's ready to move south but will Celtic let him go ? Would require Bechio to head North me thinks

Why would gary hooper come to us, we cant even sign chris wood!

And if gary hooper was available he would go to PL club or a club that would offer him more wages then we are able to.

If were to sign players of that calibre then we need change the strict wage bill policy.

It was reported before the transfer window opened that juventus were interested in hooper so possibly the most unlikely rumour so far this window. {Ed013's Note - Liverpool interested}

The new owners should tell Warnock to forget about signing a striker and sort the midfield out so we can actually pass the ball through midfield instead of bypassing it. Either tell him that or tell him to pick his p45 up on Monday.

Hooper would be massive gamble. Scunthorpe to Celtic, the only real opposition he wil have played would have been Rangers. Not proven even at Championship level. {Ed013's Note - He did well at Scunny and has done well at Celtic, even Liverpool are looking at him}

Agree we probably can't afford him but i stand by my comments, not proven at this level. Scunthorpe ! And even Celtic with their fixture list is nothing like the Championship. When he played for Scunthorpe, they were in the Championship, and he was third top goal scorer with 19 league goals, behind Nicky Maynard and Peter Whittingham. I'm pretty sure than means he's proven at Championship level.

So where are Whittingham and Maynard? There are loads of good strikers at this level, very few go on to make it at top champioship clubs or the prem. the SPL is no comparison to judge strikers. Let's see what he does for Liverpool.

Hooper could easily play at the top, if you look at how he plays your see most strikers in prem aint as good as him.

Im reading this alot and you get some right good points then you get some people stating they wouldnt sign gary hooper are you kidding i would be the happiest guy alive if we signed hooper buy he will stay at celtic and move to epl at end of season no sure what side but won't be championship

heard a rumour about rickie lambert, Southampton looking to splash the cash on a younger striker, and with lambert only making the bench recently (even in his prolific form) he is looking for a new club apparently, and saints are willing to let him go. SIGN HIM UP. MOT.

One of the lower prem league teams are sniffing around after him (can't remember which one) so if he goes it would probably be to them.
Good player, probably out of our budget.
Would certainly leave us in no doubt of GFH/NW's intentions if we did get him though.
