Unfortunately David Jones appears to be the bookies favourite- no thanks ! I reckon Redfearn has a decent chance- will be poorly paid; no compo to pay; knows the players he has to work with- all within Bates' budget!

No no no please don't let this happen not dave jones!!

Bookies favourite means nothing but people have been stupid enough to bet on him. If enough people put enough money on Mourinho then he would be favourite.
Or at least thats what I hope has happened as Dave Jones would be terrible for Leeds
Agree0

I do not believe it will be Dave Jones or any other bookies favourite, KB likes to be different and will not appoint someone who everyone is expecting him to appoint. I also do not feel he will avoid paying compensation if he feels it is for the right man. The selection process begins tomorrow. I am surprised no one has mentioned Wolves No2 Terry Connor as a possibility, i know he is another Leeds old boy but i don't necessarily think that matters.

There will be no compo with Jones as he is unemployed at the moment. Probably the reason he is favourite.
Agree0

Dave jones is a good manager, i wouldnt say no to him at leeds but hes not my favourite
Agree0

Think he's made a very quick recovery, I personally think O'Brien had a lot to do with Simon Grayson losing the dressing room and eventually his job, the most laughable part is before Grayson dropped O'Brien most Leeds fans were on his back saying how poor he was westham enquire about loaning him then all of a sudden he doesn't what to play for us, next nobody comes in for him in Jan so he plays the depression card and in light of whats just happened with Leeds legend Garry speed who's going to take it any further, I think O'Briens played you all like fools and should never wear the shirt again
Agree0

Forget what the bookies say - the favourite has changed 5 or 6 times (Billy Davies currently fav 06/02/11). It doesn't take much money to swing the odds on this market + bookies will always drop odds on rumours
Agree0

Shame on you, "plays the depression card", is that you "playing the idiot card"?

Clayton as 18 month to run, vayrynen as a 12 month option if the club wise to trigger it, Rest run out this summer.. If white still won't sign we should receive a fee where ever he go's

Adam Clayton's contract sill has 17 month's remaining AFAIK. Others are correct

Adam clayton too? thought he had 18 months left!

There's also Ben Parker, the Turner twins and Alex Bruce. Might be more as well

And Clayton's contract ends next season... not this.

Thought Clayton had another year? Apart from white will be glad to see the back of the rest

Has clayton and some others nit got 18m left.

Sam, Brown, Vayrynen, Forssell and Taylor are not good enough and must cost a fortune in wages.
White and Clayton we must try to keep. With the Bosman rulling most clubs have 6 or 7 players each season who's contracts are up, that's the way it is now.
Agree0

We wont miss any of them we've established clayts is here for another season and white is suspect in defence and isnt the greatest going forward the rest are expendable

Out of Contract
Taylor, Parker, White, Vayrynen, Brown, Sam, Forssell
Likely to be moved on
Paynter, Bromby, Connolly, Rachubka, Kisnorbo and Bruce
Returning to Parent clubs

Sam charlton
brown retire
white bolton
clayton keep
mika some finland club
forsell some finland club
{Ed020's Note - if bolton get relegated i can't see white going there}
Agree0

We need to keep White this summer out of that list! Rest can go!
Agree0

To be fair that 13ish players that is mentioned up there is a good base of a squad. So decent replacements and we'd be looking good.
Agree0
Disagree0
The 13ish players are probably the ones you would want to keep but we would have to sign 10 players in the summer, which is a lot
Agree0

Clayton is not Out of Contract, the club have an option of an extra year if they wish. and I think they will use that!
Agree0

Clayton has another year. Out of the others, we need to keep White. The rest of them can go.
